  • In Sydney, Australia, doctors have been seeing patients with a disease called scurvy. Scurvy is a disease caused by a lack of vitamin C, which you find in fruit like oranges and lemons. Sailors on long trips used to get it but you don't really hear about it these days. The doctors say it's due to poor diet - people not eating any fruit.

    -resurgence = comback (n)
note: resurgence have the same meaning with comback but it is more formal
-archaic (adj) use to describe something very old

Hello to both of you.....The more I learn English, the more the amount of similar words the French share with the English , blows my mind. Today, resurgence and archaïc. Sometimes, a word miss me to make a sentence, then, I try, by chance, to inser the equivalent French word and it works almost every time 🙂 I think the "chance" has nothing to do with this phenomenon ( another common word ) . When I started to learning English, I was thinking I would travel in a foreigner country. I was really wrong .
