Haven’t you got a DIN port on your bike. I’ve got one on my r nine t and just plug it in to that. No need to physically connect it up to the battery terminals and all the faff that goes with that
@@FairWeatherBiker As you sit on the bike, it’s on the left hand side just above and to the right of the cylinder as you look at it. It’s one of the few saving grace’s on my bike, as even the simplest jobs ie changing the air filter and battery, are far more involved than they should be. I hope you do have one, they are easy to miss. John.
Hi John, thanks for the heads-up! I do indeed have a USB port just by the cylinder head. That said, the charger I did the video on doesn’t connect to that… Any recommendations would be appreciated 👍🏽
This is to late for me. But thank you for posting. I have the charger when I bought the bike. No forum tells you how to use the fucking thing. I basically had to rebuild the bike and replace the battery and I put a splice lead in for a trickle charger. Thanks again.
Hi David, It cost me £99 from BMW Motorad in-store. In hindsight I should have shopped around. I just went for the dealership recommended product. I’m a sucker for an up-sale…🥹
@FairWeatherBiker I don't think your bmw charger will do anything different from mine. I had an idea it would be quite expensive. Had no problem with my optimate duo1. Which is one of the best chargers on the market.

I went to my local MOTORRAD centre and they said I wont have a DIN and need to charge it via this method - where is the port located on the RnineT?

Like to know how much the charger cost. Mine was 30 pounds and does exactly same job. But no bmw branding.
