Aguascalientes is, to me, the most underrated city in Mexico. Morelia may be unknown to foreigners but most Mexicans are aware of its beauty. Aguascalientes' beauty is sometimes even ignored by Mexicans.

OMG guys, I'm from Aguascalientes and now I'm living in Japan. I'm so glad to know that you like my home town so far. Aguascalientes is the cleanest city in Mexico. I think you noticed that.
You should walk downtown again but do it at night. You will be amazed by it's night life, especially on weekends.
Thank you guys for this video. Greetings from Hokkaido, Japan. By the way, you should go to La cantina San Pancho and if you like pizza try Moloko's. Another suggestion would be getting a Torito from El Carnes.

Just think that those old colonial buildings, cathedrals, etc, could not be built today. There is not enough money or builders that would even tackle making such beautiful buildings. They have to be preserved, and Mexico is doing an excellent job of doing just that.

Sean felices. 😊😉

In the olden days the church / cathedral starting paying taxes only when building was completed, so some of the churches had the bell tower done and then
dragged a little on finishing the other tower,
so... no taxes for awhile !

At 9:47, note the eyes of the little girl in the white dress in the foreground of the mural. They are reminiscent of Diego Rivera, who often painted someone with those eyes --his to be exact -- into his murals. The mural was painted by Oswaldo Barra Cunningham, a chileno who was a student and helper of Diego Rivera.

I think you're right. It might not have that super WOWWWGuaaa factor that Guanajuato or Morelia have but it's super clean, safe, livable, and easy going. There is a lot to be said about that!
and though it's not AS pretty as Morelia or some other cities it's still a heck of a lot prettier than Dallas, Texas haha

Actually Aguascalientes is not a touristic city, foreigners here are for business, particularly because of the automotive industry and the multiple IT companies. In favor of the city, I can say it is one of the best Mexican cities for living. Nice weather, low pollution, no much traffic, short commutes...nowadays, this is very much appreciated. Enjoy the city and its surroundings, if you find the right spots for you, you won't be disappointed.

En realidad son aguascalentenses. No pueden ser hidrocálidos porque tal palabra al tener raíces de dos idiomas, hidro del griego y calidus del latín, no puede existir en español.
En efecto, así les dicen muchos, pero es erróneo.

For local eats try "chamucos" (the white topping on "conchas" made into a cookie), they're from the nearby "pueblo magico" of Calvillo, they're even sold around the coffee area of most local Oxxos. Other local eats: tacos de lechon (from Tacos Rudy), birria (from the "Lago Azul" stall in the "Mercado Juarez"), tamachiles (dried chiles stuffed with a tamal) and chaskas empapeladas (a sort of esquite with taco filling).

@@kinetickennons I'm excited to find out where you'll end up next week, but it would be nice if took a quick tour to San Juan de Los Lagos, Jalisco (well loved church there), Leon, Gto ( Gto's most populate city) beautiful french style church and famous for everything leather like shoes, purses, cowboy boots and Silao, Gto with a giant statue of Jesus Christ atop a hill. Pope Francis celebrated mass there and was brought up via helicopter not so many years ago. Catholic or not, most mexicans love their towns with their cathedrals. I'm sure you'll be in many people's hearts just by stopping by their hometowns even for a few hours.

Since you’re already nearby, you need to visit Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco. It’s about 90km and only an hour from Aguascalientes. Lagos is probably the least touristy and most underrated Pueblo Mágico in all of Mexico, and for my money has the most beautiful baroque/churrigueresque main church in the country. Its exterior is magnificent and a prime example of pink limestone construction. You won’t regret it.

Saludos Kennons!!! You made it to my hometown!. You will not be disappointed. I would recommend you try birria from el mercado Morelos, mere blocks from catedral, try the walking evening tour of the old haciendas (tickets sold at a kiosk across the street, facing the palacio de gobierno), go see San Marcos garden and the surrounding area at night, Altaria mall, Calvillo, and of course....the natural hot springs. A truly beautiful place. Enjoy your stay and saludos from Orange, California.

You guys NEED to go to Calvillo to go eat!! So good. Birria in the mercado. Gorditas Jenny and cenaduria Ernestina in el Cuervero (3 minutes from Calvillo), Go have some Chamucos, too! (sweet bread) and Nieve el popo....All in Calvillo!

Please show more of the city, boutique, museums, night life if possible. Love watching the two of you but on this one show a little more of the shopping areas. What made you venture to Aguascalientes? What's it like during the weekdays? Thank you.

❤️looked forward to this one, lol, many of the places you've been too lately I was in some 50 years ago, maybe time for a revisit!. I like the fact all these places aren't forgetting their history but yet open a door and it's a whole different modern world.
