Hello! We are the devs of this game and we want to thank you for sharing our work! We do appreciate all the kind comments you guys posted. Just a little precision: this is a student game we made in 10 months as a team of 8. We did not have the resources to make a longer game but we wanted to provide a complete experience ! The blocking bugs should be fixed as of today. The game will be soon available on steam (store.steampowered.com/app/1675140/Reminiscence) Thanks again, from all of us!
That was absolutely incredible for being a student project, wow. I'm seriously impressed. And the jumpscares - I usually HATE jumpscares - were extremely good, smartly placed, just the right amount to freak the fuck outta you... really congrats.
Is it weird that I use these gameplays to sleep?Chris has such a soothing voice 👍 Edit:oh God Chris replied🤩😍🤩 and I'm so happy to see that I'm not the only one to use Chris as a soothing presence before sleeping😌☺️
I've seen many testimonies of CJU's ASMR effect. His voice negates horror aspect of the horror game he plays, then induces deep calm (and drowsiness) to the viewers.
We always have Chris to add a ray of sunshine to our days, with another great demo and/or playthrough. No one even comes close to the way he presents himself. Superb, my friend!
Two years later: Wow. That was stupendous. It's a shame the game is a student project and not a studio project, 'cause whoever the students were, they had enough imagination to fill the Enterprise! The game is well-polished, too. Congrats to whoever the teacher was; the teacher's eye for detail, which he/she passed on to the students, is masterful.
I know a game's especially good when Chris makes surprised sounds I've never heard him make before. 😬 🤣 What a fun and trippy ride! I loved the look of it, the time-travel mechanic, the jump scares--I even liked the modeling of the aliens, down to their sparkly, space-age breechclouts. Lol.
@@Scriptor13 Personally I'd rather go back and change the outcome of the American Revolutionary War. I'd like to see what would've happened had America remained under British rule.
I have mixed feelings about this one. The premise is pretty good and the transitions were on point. Weird voice acting aside, I didn't like the 'guy does/causes something bad to happen to his family'/ 'bad dad' story of guilt and regret I've seen in so many other horror games. Also it's set in the late 50's/early 60's and I thought more would be done with that than just the aesthetic. All in all, still enjoyable and they used a lot of the elements well with some decent scares here and there. Hope something good comes of it in the future. We'll just need a time machine to find out!
This really kept you going nonestop with jumpscares at every corner! I noticed whenever the radio or tv started to talk and you moved away from the sound it stopped and did not continue over the guy talking to himself. Normally that really annoys me if there is to much dialog ontop of each other. Great game that was over to soon!
This is way better than most indie horror games. The scares were well timed and some of them unexpected. The time travel mechanic was neat but the main thing is that it has effective scares. IMO too many horror games simply have horror elements and aren't actually scary at all.
Chris' horror video games have played in the background for me almost every day during the pandemic. I'm gonna miss him when I have to return to an office :(
this one is really well done, really interesting and good pacing, I hope they will make a full length game in the future, looking forward on what they can do on a big budget project
I have so much fun watched him play bc I love story horror games but not by playing them, walking around in dimly lit places in horror games makes me nervous 😥. I like CJU voice and the accent is just perfect . Always supporting you, keep up the good content #IndieGames #Reminiscence
Layers of Fear meets Observer meets PT. This is excellent. Very well crafted. I love the ‘endless doors’ effect at 24:18. Quite a few concepts I’ve never seen before. This is also sophisticated storytelling. Well worth a second viewing.
I liked this one. Its got a simple premise, but the environment keeps you on your toes and the jumpscares were effective. At first, it got me worried that this might be another of those copy-pasted PT type of games, especially after seeing those long hallways and even a radio on the right. I'm glad that it didn't take that old and overused route.
Very well done, I loved this. Gotta make sure my brother watches it too when he gets home. Great scares, love the time travel mechanic, super fun to watch you play.
So much creativity. If this was a student project, I'm very impressed. The section with the floating books was great. I hope the developers continue to deliver great work like this in future.
Ooooh I loved this (big fan of the 50s/60s aesthetic anyway). The actual story totally confused me through but I might blame that on the devil's lettuce. It was of course great to see your jumpscares too 😆
The clapping hands really got to me with the creep factor and the jump. I knew it was coming, but the sound was so raw and sharp that it got past my defenses.
i was okay for most of the scares but that f u c k i n g clapper scare made me jump so bad!! Excellent pacing and atmosphere and great scare placement! Quality work and I hope to see more things from them in the future!
Lol this game is CJ's house on the weekends. B3 just pulling your legs, mates. This title certainly uses this concept in an intriguing way. Would love for it to flourish.
This was really good!!! I wish there was a lot more to it... like four more hours more. I got a SCP kind of vibe, reminded me vaguely of Control in the strangeness of it.
Lying in bed feeling sick so gonna have a CJU marathon to cheer me up. As much as I love other TH-camrs as well, Chris is on a whole other level. I have sensitive hearing so having to hear other youtubers screaming and cursing loudly every second is literally painful, even having the volume at the lowest possible setting doesn't help. And the constant, unnecessary, suggestive jokes that other youtubers say nonstop make me extremely uncomfortable and are triggering to the point where I have to stop watching within minutes of starting the video. Chris on the other hand is so refreshing to watch. He gets spooked but doesn't feel it necessary to scream and it's still hilarious. He also doesn't feel the need to say anything perverted in order to be "funny". Thanks for that Chris. You're the best youtuber I could have ever asked for. ☺ Lots of love. Always wishing you nothing but the best.
the biggest puzzle of this game seems to be how i the world you can describe time/space/dislocation and 'glitching' artifacts bleeding through time.. or . space... or whatever the hell is going on. :P
I watched today Let's play alongside Italy:Belgium match. That means something... But that was a great try to make a very glamorous horror game, it was so good thet even glitches looked like a part of environment. And I love voice actors attempts to mimique the atlantic accent. That was very impressive!
If Pumuckl, the protagonist from an old German children's show, was a man, he'd look like the clown in the painting. That makes this game infinitely more terrifying to me for some reason.
Check out '12 Monkeys" -- the Terry Gilliam movie. It's way better than the TV show. Brad Pitt before 'Thelma and Louise' and Bruce Willis before 'The Sixth Sense'.
I started reminiscing... th-cam.com/video/HbTYnEB1jRA/w-d-xo.html btw, that clown painting looked like cross between Alfred E. Nueman and George Bush, Jr.

That's fucking imressive! A really clever concept made into a genuinely creepy game.
Whoever the people are who made this, I really hope that they'll continue making games because this was really something.

I was thinking about this as well. His voice is enough to make me doze off sometimes. 🥰
I've spent quite a few nights falling asleep to his Indie Horror Game list, so you're not alone!
I've seen many testimonies of CJU's ASMR effect. His voice negates horror aspect of the horror game he plays, then induces deep calm (and drowsiness) to the viewers.
I often fall asleep midway through recording.
I've done that many times but on accident hehe 😐😌😴
We always have Chris to add a ray of sunshine to our days, with another great demo and/or playthrough.

Can't do anything about my current problems at the moment, but I got my lunch, a CJU upload just appeared. My crappy day just turned around.
I know a game's especially good when Chris makes surprised sounds I've never heard him make before. 😬 🤣

I like this one. It really kept him on edge.
Out of interest, if you could travel back in time and change history, what event would you want to alter?
@@shadowjudge921 The untimely death of a person I deeply love.
@@Scriptor13 Ouch. Now I feel guilty. 😔
@@shadowjudge921 No need to feel guilty, SJ. Sh*t happens. I'm sure many people would answer the same way.

You can tell how much he loves honest scares.

This is wonderful. The first game I've seen where the house has a plot reason to change on us.
Easily some of the best "set design'" that I've seen, bar none, even on top of the gameplay itself.
"The door was crying" make me laugh more than I want.
By the way, what a great game!

My favorite painting on the wall in the bedroom! "The Kiss" by Gustav Klimt
This game was dope as hell. Definitely a surprise! Keep it coming, CJ!
This is an amazing game, especially from students! I really hope they keep coding I want to see more from them!
Very well done, I loved this. Gotta make sure my brother watches it too when he gets home. Great scares, love the time travel mechanic, super fun to watch you play.

Really beautiful game!!! Every scare got me!! Super beautiful visuals and ideas!!
Another well done game. Nice find, Sir. Glad to see I'm not the only one that remembered the brown pants today!

wow, this game was great, although a bit short, like some others, i would love an extended version, whoever made this, great job

so you didn't recognise A Sunday on La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat, one of the most famous paintings in the world?
