Slick, please continue with these if you can. I'm getting more into building, and am even trying my hand at my own designs, your vids really help.

    Hey Joy,
This is an excellent video; funny enough, I like the English version of your content better.
    Saludos desde España paisano.

thanks for posting this, for those who need it. i offer some facts and observations regarding the use of antique plans, to build a model aircraft. it is not wise to blindly copy every detail, in Seventy year-old plans!!! most newer plans are similarly, flawed. decades-old designs are resurrected in their entirety, by Under-informed hobbyists. newer design errors are so widely repeated that, they have become the new Normal. at 1:37, see what No one else does --- the use of weight-reducing panel CUTOUTS; at the tail boom !!!!! at 2:08, top center, turbulators are shown on plan; they do NOT scale down !!! because AIR does not scale down ! at 6:50, this is a 'fast' (slightly thinner) version of a clark-y profile; assuming a zero-degrees aoa wing mount, the wing will have a higher stall speed (than the clark-y). at 7:07, where a flat-bottomed profile is used, the lower edge of a rib is the primary reference. at 9:00, another 'fast' profile. at 11:23, a good, lift-making profile is shown. above it, a fuselage-spanning, dihedral BRACE is shown. at 11:25, typical wing leading edge construction is shown. ribs have a miter notch at the leading edge; and a piece of dimensional wood spans the ribs to form the leading edge. at 11:48, a rib should Not almost be bisected; at the main spar !!! this Was WONKY design. googletranslate

IF the plans are actually plans and not technical drawings ... as a plan they have a title box which details what the plans are and what scale they are drawn in on that sheet ... as technical drawings they dont have the title box with all the details needed ... and are just that drawings and not at any true scale whatsoever ... ONLY plans have actual usable dimensions ... those drawings for the eagle you took out of the book are technical drawings and not actually to ANY accurate scale other than what would fit on what they were willing to add into the book ... if they were plans each page on the bottom right corner would have the title box with all relevant data for the plans ... those do not and so are nothing more than drawings on a napkin ... and just as reliable .... this is why you start your drafting knowledge nby doing it all by HAND on paper ... before you ever try it on a computer design system ... so you actually KNOW the difference between technical drawings and plans ...
