Hi Tim , you're looking so fresh and energetic, a pleasant change related your health. Come back to the video, although it very informative but basic . Best of luck for the next time. May God bless you Amin.
Wow. That was a lot packed in to a video. Thanks for doing that ! I always learn a lot when I watch your content. It looks like a great little flyer as well. I'm going to embark on building a similar single engine "sporty" flyer, based on what motors I have lying around (a bunch of emax CF2812's I bought years ago). Probably won't be much different to what your foam bug ended up! 😄🛩
HI Tim, I have watched many of your videos. Great stuff. A question about RC aircraft design: 1) Recommendations regarding CAD software to purchase and learn from. Not too expensive and beginner user friendly? I notice you have used QCad and TurboCad. Recommend? 2) Now I'm retired I would like to get involved in RC design, build and fly. Initially, start building from kits and then progress onto design. Would this be your recommendation? Carry on with your channel as it is a great resource for the community. Regards, Pete (UK based).
Pete: Greetings from across the pond! Your design plan sounds like a winner. I have several videos on aircraft design. www.QCAD.org for sure on the 2D CAD work. TurboCAD just too expensive now. I have some videos on QCAD, plus they have a great forum on the site. Tim
Tim, many thanks for your prompt reply. Much appreciated. I will certainly look into QCAD based upon your recommendation. Any thoughts regarding books on RC aircraft design? Again, beginner friendly to more advanced publications would assist as I make progress in self-study on the topic. Thank you. Kind regards, Pete (UK).
@@PeterGreen-o6l Pete: There are some RC design books out there. I’ll be doing a video on this very subject, hope to get it out within a few weeks. Tim
This video is extremely valuable, thank you so much Tim!
HY: Many thanks for checking in! Tim
THANK YOU, TIM, FOR THIS DESIGN TUTORIAL! I'MFASCINATED BY THOSE "ODD" AIRCRAFT DESIGNS, ( FLYING WINGS, DELTA WINGS, FORWARD-SWEPT-WING, CANARDS, B IPLANE/TRIPLANES, ELIPTICAL WINGS, SAILPLANES, AUTOGYROS, ETC.)...
GG: No worries, thanks for checking in! Tim

First time I heard the acronym TLAR…love it for model building!
Rick: Standard USAF term. 😁 Tim
What does it stand for? I must have skipped past this in the video.
Thank You Sir !! You make this world better .
Philippe: So nice of you! Tim
Very good information. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!

Brett: The twin did fly well. It would be very easy to simply stick a single motor on the nose and build a single engine version. Good luck! Tim
very informative. thank you sir.
Thanks for checking in!
This is great information, Tim. Thank you so much.
😊👍🏻 Tim
Thanks Tim 👍 great video and I'm looking forward to many more 👍 keep up the great work ✌️
Jordan: Many thanks for your kind words and checking in! Tim
Great informative video! Question: what is the best way to find the proper CG for planes of different wing designs?
See my video Model Airplane Center of Gravity for Newbies. Tim
great tips! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! Tim
Hey Tim, would you recommend 3-d printing the ribs of the plane to more accurately create your desired airfoil shape?
3D is always better and more accurate. For my sport fliers a hand sketch rib seems to work OK. 😁
Amazing, I do a lot on paper too.
Biko: Thank you, cheers! Tim

Great video Tim. Quick question, would it be possible to route the motor wires through the wing instead of having them taped on the top?
Skip: Absolutely!! I was looking at a quick build prototype. Tim
@@TimMcKay56 thank you for the reply Tim! I’m looking to build my first rc plane and your videos have been very helpful!

Hi Tim, is there any way I can send u some photos on the way I construct foam board planes?
Ted: Try gbmckay at Gmail dot com. Tim
tanks a lot
😊😳 Tim
Sir what is the max extra weight an rc plan can carry ?
Depends on the plane. 10% of aircraft weight is a good starting point. Tim
Not sure where your looking but there are loads of twin motor kits
😊👍🏻 Tim
I just built one very similar to this plane. If you like I could send a few pictures with comments. I had not watched your video before today.
Sure! gbmckay at Google mail. Tim

Thanks so much for checking in! Regards, Tim
Apologies: TLAR is an old US Air Force phrase which means "that looks about right." Tim
