    The fact that Coleman is uprooting his young family from the States and moving them to Swansea says everything about his commitment to the cause. He gets my vote....

    Haven’t been this excited about a swans manager since Laudrup. Got a good feeling 🤞🏻

    Duff's just given the best manager interview we've seen in years and years. Love his outlook and directness. We needed this.

    Looking forward to seeing Swans this year with Duff at the helm. I am a Cheltenham fan and he is an absolute legend at our club as a player and manager but always knew he would make it to the very top and I believe he will take Swansea with him.

    From a Burnley fan, always loved what Michael achieved with us, gonna watch a few Swansea games and see how it goes, hopefully it goes well and hopefully you get play offs

    Impressive interview with Michael Duff, what really comes across in his answers is that he is direct and to the point, he is a realist, prepared to work hard and determined to succeed with the Swans. MD has already completed his first summer signing… Can’t wait for the new season to start ⚽️😀👍

    "We need to add physicality and pace" that one sentence hit the nail on the head. Get some players who can get in behind, knock the ball past someone, make a counter attac dangerous.
    Can see Duff signing a couple much needed wingers, after Martin decided width wasn't required.

    • @leightongoss6147
      @leightongoss6147 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Don't think that really was the case. Martin bemoaned the loss of Christie and Wolfe. He had hoped for some support in that dept. and of course it never materialised in the January window. He was often banging on about lack of width and eventually found a way to overcome it in the last 10 games.
      Sorry. Don't mean to harp on about Martin. That era is over but lets not forget our owner's failings in this.

    • @zsertymiop7136
      @zsertymiop7136 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@leightongoss6147 I don't see it that way, Christie and Wolf were always used as a Fullback/Wingback.
      The owners have made mistakes, but have also done a fair bit right. Same would go for Martin.
      Hopefully Duff can piece together a combination of the technical ability and added physically and solidity so we can push on.

  • @keepingtheheart81

    Yes very impressed. I like his straight forwardness and honesty. He has come in with his eyes wide open, he knows the history, the financial restraints, the style we are used to. He may not be as possession based as Martin was, but neither was Laudrup, and we played some of our best stuff under him. Feeling very upbeat and glad I kept my season ticket.

  • @YJB8CCFC

    Pace and physicality. Two traits we were missing last season. Plus playing on the front foot. I’ve got a good feeling for us, this coming season.

  • @magneticranners

    Glad to have watched this, initially I wasn’t sure how confident Michael was talking in interviews in the brief videos we’ve been given but he speaks really well here, very clear and concise in summarising how he views things. In my opinion Russ was very good at talking and in spells we saw that talk reflect on the pitch but lots of spells where it didn’t. Duff seems a lot more straight down the line in comparison. Looking forward to seeing the boys getting stuck in when pre season games begin

  • @carlmcnaught8784

    No bullshit and straight to the point. He a realist and not a optimist

  • @Richards17x
    @Richards17x ปีที่แล้ว +10

    Love how duff is real. Martin had a facade about him where sometimes he would beat around the bush but duff is just straight up. Not ruling out Ellis Simms, Ginelly medical. That’s what I like to hear. Funds there, the football sounds like it will be some of the best we’ve ever had. I think we can really look forward to what’s coming if the board are serious about things right now.

    • @leightongoss6147
      @leightongoss6147 ปีที่แล้ว

      Again I have to disagree. Martin was a s straight as a die in his pressers. Like Duff he would not speculate until the signing was virtually over the line. A second medical would suggest that is the case here.

    • @Richards17x
      @Richards17x ปีที่แล้ว

      @@leightongoss6147 key word is sometimes in that para. He was a realist but sometimes he would keep things under wraps that then came out after a presser when it wasn’t mentioned. With duff I don’t think it will be like rhay

    This might wash over some of the naysayers but, despite that bizarre statement regarding Marsh and Winter I like the cut of Andy Coleman's jib. He looked genuinely delighted to be there which is more than can be said about Levien in the past. I appreciate that he's in front of cameras and was itching to answer more questions than he ultimately did. Hope that enthusiasm doesn't die.

    Potter brought in Asoro a speedy winger £2m while Dan James was an even faster more talented winger in the academy. Leeds wanted him in January and he was at Man Utd in 12 months. Potter did not assess what he had it seems.

    Some good words but too much of a contrived and slightly cheesy PR exercise.
    Really glad to hear lots of talk of ‘ambition’, but smiles and buzz words are not visual evidence.
    Optimism and positivity is great but ‘walk the walk’ please Swansea City!
