Jonathan Dominguez - I agree. They look like Mortal Kombat fighters. They only move forwards and backwards. Don't they know you can move 8 ways in this game? I guess they don't know that you can circle around your opponent. I'm still trying to find a legit Soul Calibur player on youtube.

Guess I'm the only one wanting to see brand new characters/fighting styles. At least they didn't replace the old ones this time around
You're not alone. I also want to see if the non-main roster weapons from SC III are making a return, along with how many characters can be made. I have so many ideas on who to make that I need as many fighting styles and slots as what I can get. As far as new ones, I'd like to see an axe (non-Astaroth and Rock style), sais, ball and chain, spear and shield (like the Spartans), hammer (big or small), and a REGULAR SIZED BROADSWORD. I I made the last one bigger because, yes, we have Siegfried's and Mitsurugi's weapons, which is good and all, but we never had like a knight style with a normal sized European sword, and I'd love to see that. There so many possibilities of who you can make with that alone. But we'll see if any of the weapons listed comes to pass. Here's hoping.
I wouldn’t want the classics to be taken out. It’s been a while since I counted how many different styles there were, but I believe the last time I counted the number was 15 or 16 styles of the non-main roster stuff, on top of the near 20 styles from the main roster, all from SC III. I’d like for it to hit around that same number or much more. It would add so much more dynamic to character creation to have around 40 or even 50 styles to pick from, with about 100 slots or more for the amount of characters to make
We have not seen a good SC game since 2002 and there was no point in continuing the mess that was SC5 story. Reboot was the only option.
anyone else sort of miss Soulcalibur 3's create a soul movesets? Weapons that main characters don't even use... It was shallow but with some polish it could've been good...
I'll be honest I actually did like SC V. I realize it wasn't the same without many of the series iconic characters and that it was incomplete, but at least, I thought, having some new fighting styles was cool. I also thought they were on the right track with the physical aspects of Create a Soul, although the facial options were bad (except for the masks and stuff). Adding in Devil Jin's fighting style was actually a good idea because not only do you get the option to essentially play as a Tekken character (like Heihachi), in a sense, it worked for when someone wanted to make a character without a weapon(s). That's what they should add a little more of. Despite what others say, I did like the styles of Patrokolos (sword and shield), Z.W.E.I, Viola, Phyrra (both styles), Aeon (even though he's just modified a little from his original Lizardman sword and shield style), and Dampierre. I think those styles should make a return in way or another.
I've waited for years for this game to come out hope they've kept character creation, I used to have the whole of the avengers on soulcaliber 5 can't wait to recreate them

You know, for a series that has been in hibernation for so long. I was expecting a much bigger cast of characters. They should have done what they did with soul calibur 6 and give us every character the series had to offer. Plus new ones. Like they did with tekken tag 2. That game had a large cast and was still very competitive. Just give the fans more.

I would like to see Viola at least, the devs seem to be going in the direction of unique fighting styles instead of clones and Viola was pretty unique.

Please tell NAMCO developers that excessive and unnecessary flashy stuff difficult heavily the vizualization of the cool moves done by the cool characters. Man, that fucks up with the game. Seriously. Save by that all looks awesome.

Up to the PS2 era fighting games used to have the best graphics because they involve rendering one room and two characters at most, so they could increase the polygon count without hindering performance. But nowadays it seems like fighting games have inferior graphics to AAA titles.

While Crispin Freeman is untouchable, Kirk Thornton makes sense since Siegfried is younger here than he was in SCIII.
I liked the harsh voice Siegfried had in SCIII and IV since it looked that after speaking like Nightmare for so long, his voice became more rough and somehow after years of being freed, it became normal again in SCV. They did the same with Raphael, the same voice actor talks more roughly when he is Graf Dumas than when he is Raphael. Nightmare seems to have that effect.

From what I've seen they're turning this into a girly anime. They replaced all the muscular guys (Edge master,Algol etc.) with girls. At least it'll have character creation.

Please get me a question that is bothering me too I'm a big fan of Setsuka and heard some rumors that she wouldn't be in this game, because it is a reboot of the Soul calibur. And why is the game Zasalamel? He didn't go along with Setsuka and Tira? Why he has become more important than Setsuka? I still have faith that she will appear in the game. Please answer me. I'm a Brazilian crazy by Soul calibur

I love hjow Souls calibur is the only fighting game with sidie stepping movement or at least still has it.
Tekken has side steps, Soulcalibur has 8-Way run where you can side step in all eight directions.

Good times since Soul Edge on modded PS1. Couldn't understand how to pass some stage in Weapon Master (whatever the name) because of some combos to do etc...
Still had fun bashing button to make ending the variant way ! (and GameShark to play as a scuba diver)
