We just got our 2024 RS in Cosmic Yellow. After a couple rides I can say one of the words to best describe these bikes is “Intuitive” . They are just so easy to ride in a variety of ways and styles or riding.
You're so right that the Street triple RS can give you the fun of a litre bike, I've owned all the main super bikes, Fireblades, R1s and GSX-R 1000R, I turned sixty in 2018 and decided super sports bikes were too uncomfortable so bought my first street triple RS, I got my third in march which is easily the best RS yet and even more fun than the previous bike.
It's my first st a moto2 and seriously impressive bike I sold a 1200rr to buy it & absolutely don't regret it , I thought I'd miss the power but tbh the rr doesn't deliver until your getting a lick on , but the st is fun everywhere & just feels a safer bet for me on our overcrowding England roads , loving the videos though mate ❤
Picked up a Trident this spring, I'm already itching for a little more power. This bike is on my short list. Love the trident, so I imagine I'd nut riding one of these!
Great review and an incredible bike. If I could give any constructive criticism, you don't need to justify every reason for liking an aspect of the bike 😂 if someone else doesn't agree, good for them. It's your bike, your money, your choice and it's a great one
Do you actually notice a difference with the gear shift support? Also, thought those roads looked familiar. I used to live in Aloha and rode through those areas often.
Hey man I was curious on how you did the wiring for your trident 660 rear blinkers. I just ordered some and i'm curious on how you did it. Looks super clean.
I’ve been looking at the R version. I downloaded the manual to read in the meantime, cause I’m weird like that. Its says you have to lubricate the chain every 200 miles?! More if it gets wet. Does it say this in the RS manual? Or have you heard it from your shop service dept? I would have to bring chain oil out on rides with me as I would be riding more than that a day just for fun. It sounds excessive.. no? Anyway. Love triumphs. Love these bikes (fits me like a glove) can’t wait to get mine. Thanks for the videos.
Man, I find mine perfect for the street and Highway. The low , mid range and linear take take. Lightness and flickability. Sound is awesome. I consider myself a beginner rider also. The only thing I don’t like is no wind protection going past 90 on the interstate. And getting pushed around not being as planted as on a heavier bike. I’d like to upgrade to a full fairing litter next year but I’m afraid when I make the switch I’ll regret losing the STR. Hopefully they make Triumph continues to make awesome STR models when I get the liter bike ownership riding out of my system.
While a litter bike sounds like a fun idea, I almost guarantee it wouldnt be as fun as the 765. At 130hp it's more than enough unless you mainly ride on straight roads. More fun to ride a "slow" bike fast than a Fast bike "slow" :) IMO
Hi there, I randomly visit your channel for content on Street Triple. I've booked a Street Triple R Ice Silver, do you happen to know if Ice Silver for R & RS same besides the Green & Red touches?
Oh no no. The RS has tons more goodies on it compared to the R. Aside from the Green and red, you'll get better suspension, better TFT, Better brakes, IMU for better assists... etc. I genuinely think the RS is worth the money for what you get over the R. BOTH ARE AMAZING THO, you wont be disappointed either way.
Hey i'm a brand new rider I have done the motorcycle course here in canada its 26 hours total. I was looking at the street triple RS and the trident. I'm aware the street triple RS isnt a beginner bike but it has a similar 0-60 as the trident from what i'm reading online and I dont plan on doing crazy speeds either, I just prefer the look of the street triple. If they both have similar acceleration from 0-60 I imagine I could go for the street triple and skip the trident? If I dont push the bike past 60-80mph I imagine they both feel similar in term of power? I'm very cautious and aware of the dangers that come with riding a motorcycle, I know my limits I dont plan pushing the bike much for a long time. Do you think I should go straight for the triple? Also i'm 5'6, prob around 5'7 with my boots on, do you think it would be a decent fit? I could go for the lowered seat to help a bit.
Hey, question question: around how many miles did you do your second oil change? Mines getting close to a 1000 miles, I did the first change at 600-700.
Im at 2100 miles now and still on the first oil change. Im thinking every 4k is when I'll do it since I tend to ride the bike decently hard for the streets.
Tbh weight and performance is gonna be a negligible difference between the two. I thin the SC is more of a screamer and the Zard is more refined but still loud! Cant go wrong with either
"Not gonna hurt me" thats real. Practicing on my local twisty ive been increasing speed each run. The str makes me feel like i know what im doing. The trident is like "nah slow down buddy" 😂😂
This is super true haha. Last time I got on the Trident I rode it a little harder than I should have and I know that the tire and brake difference alone could have gotten me to have an episode. haha
I've ridden the previous strs, the duke 890r and the new monster +. And I have to say, the monster doesn't come close to either of those. For what it costs, it's just not enough. I mean you get a pretty bike with a great tft dash but. Below 3000rpm it sucks to ride, it's suspension is basic compared to triumph and KTM, false neutrals, and of those 3 it's the one bike i least enjoyed riding on. If you want a monster you buy it for the looks. But the moment you ride a street triple or a duke.. the monster drops in the rankings.
Check out motodemic for front headlight options for the street triple. I’ve always really liked the “street fighter” look. Street triple with a single round headlight is a slick look
Light weight, agility, comfort, quality for the price, and power to weight ratio. That’s what makes Striples the best bikes 😂

The 1200RR is amazing and you're right. I personally would have made the move too after owning a 765 and testing the 1200.
I’ve got a 2012 black and gold str and absolutely love it. Also have an Audi, you’ve got good taste! Here in Oregon too my friend!

Hi, love the street triple. How do you have your phone mounted?? Is it Quadlock??? Thanks
Do you actually notice a difference with the gear shift support?

Hard to say truthfully. The STRS has such a buttery smooth gearbox on it from factory. This was just a "why the hell not" purchase.
Nice! Very close!

Wise words as far as your riding is concerned. Too many people either severely injure themselves or worse because they ride too crazy.

Ehhh its a recommendation. I did mine at 1k miles (oops lol) but general rule is like 500ish miles i believe. :)

I have a 2017 675r, really considering trading for one of these.
Hey boss I have the same bike and I want to replace the mirror with the ones you are using. Can you tell me which ones they are? Thank you!
Theyre the Fenrir mirror! Link should be in Bio :)
Also are your tail lights the smoked ones or the regular. Thank you!
This one is smoked!
I didn’t find how you fit on the bike in the oil change video. Do I need to look more closely or could it be in another video?
Maybe it was a different video. I think I added it at the very end of that one. Let me check.

@@rwdconnor Thank You so much. My bad, I was trying to ask if there’s a difference in Color Ice Silver for R & RS.

Get the Striple. Ride in rain mode until your confidence grows.
Congrats on the bike! It will be my next purchase. Will the complete exhaust systems from previous models fit it (2021/22)?
Thanks! Yes, 2017-2022 exhaust will fit :)
That Zard sounds excellent.
Hey, question question: around how many miles did you do your second oil change?
Mines getting close to a 1000 miles, I did the first change at 600-700.
I just did my second one yesterday. Owners manual says 6000 miles so that’s when I did it, but I will prolly do it every 5k for now tho
Im at 2100 miles now and still on the first oil change. Im thinking every 4k is when I'll do it since I tend to ride the bike decently hard for the streets.
Any difference between the SC and Zard ? Noise, weight, performance? Thks I have a cosmic yellow😊

@motocorn I'm wondering if some sort of brake upgrade may help it out. Trident is a blast and that's my only qualm
@@biggums3368 this is what I would do! www.ajcyclesny.com/product/free-spirits-brembo-front-caliper-upgrade-kit-with-rotors-triumph-trident/
@motocorn dude great plug! Thanks. I wanna see if there's some other options but if this is it, that's the move.
Agree with what you say, Triumphs are well designed appealing motorcycles. The classic range tends to be overpriced though due to its exclusivity.
Hey, was wondering if you have considered other bikes maybe Aprilia or Ducati monster for example or BMW or even latest XSR looks like a great bike?
Id love a Ducati V4s or even a monster. A S1krr would be awesome too. Just not there yet with the price and skill, however those would be my next jump
@@rwdconnor I think that the monster is very close price wise with STRS
@@__se7en__ I think so too, Tho I still kinda prefer a street triple over one. Guess I need to ride one first

Ive seen it! Its cool but not really for me since I still have the trident
Video exposure bit dark but colors perfect for my taste.
1:42 “neo retro/classic” is how I’d describe them
EU is getting the 2024 models now aswell btw.
Bout time ;)
Lol, u know what backs up your decision on str… when both your sales guys have the new ‘24 str too.😂
Aint that the truth haha
