@@muhammadumar7557 I just learned you can take the decal, plug it into a black white node, then plug that into displacement and it’ll add real geometry to any unwrapped model
Been looking for this for the past 2 hours online until I realized I best scroll through the Quixel TH-cam and voila, thank you all so much over at Quixel!
This renders in the end of the video are so cool! It would be great if you make a tutorial about lightning in ue4 and post processing, I always admire the ue4 renders you show in you videos!
Sorry if yous have already made one but i couldnt find it if yous have but could you make a video on how to collaborate unreal project with other people because all the videos i have been able to find are out dated
It's all super wonderful and all... but please , add proper tablet support for artists. It's so sad that the whole awseomness of Mixer is held back simply by the lack of the most basic funtionality.
@@petertremblay3725 I sincerely hope that it is not a limitation they run into with Unity, which Mixer is based upon. Unity does not really work well with tablets and can be extremely stubborn as a core. I am suspicious because it's been a while now, we have 2020.1.5 and still, simply using my tablet with paint layers in mixes produces unusable behaviour and even brakes my tablets projection method. It would be incredibly sad if it would never happen. I still have hopes due to the aweseomness, determination and passion of the Quixel team, also now backed by Epic.
Hello Quixel. Can you make tutorial, cause you haven't- to paint props from start to finish? I haven't see any tutorial, like texturing sci fi panels , or other props. All tutorials- about mixing textures, ground.... From this view- substance Painter is more intuitive..... I want to see for example- how to texture sci-fi panel with: bolts, normals, other details......
Thats all very good, but what i really need is the old - nDo normal map plug-in for Photoshop - You know, the one you released for free many years ago. Can you help me? I don't need a massive program suite, i need that one plugin to help me with a mod i'm making for Skyrim and I need to generate a few normal maps, not something i've done before but i believe your plugin can help. Yes, i am still using significantly older software as, quite frankly, the purchase or leasing prices for newer stuff is vastly out of my price range. So Mr Teddy Bergsman, who came from nothing and grew Quixel, can you help me please? Or anyone else help??? Thanks
Also this guy voice is so much better than the annoying and arrogant guy voice from Substance, don't remember his name but something like Macmarmot something like this!
Wes McDermott is an absolutely great and kind guy and you can learn a ton from him. Just because he has a high voice does not make him annyoing or arrogant. I learned so much from Wes and am immensly thankful for all his videos. This knowledge certainly benefits you learning and using Quixel as well. It's not all just program specifics. No need to take sides. This is not a war. These are all amazing people developing amazing software for us artists and teaching us. And they are real people and do also have feelings, you know :) Imagine Wes reading something like this. It is not very empathic.
THATS WHY I LOVE QUIXEL AND UNREAL ENGINE
Josh, you make it look so easy! Great video.
The best thing Quixel has taught me is that decals are a cheat that instantly make your scene look good
yes...just to get rid of sculpting and baking shit

As usual, a great tutorial. Thank you Josh and Quixel.

@@MateoUnreal probably will be a tutorial and not live.
@@MR3DDev just subscribed to you you have epic content
@@OnsideHaddock72 Thanks, yeah I literally have Epic content since most of my videos are about Unreal Engine :P
@@MR3DDev its amazing what's possible with it
Nice job.
Amazing 🔥🔥🔥
nice
Since i use this i completely drop using substance painter, so much more convenient and fast compared to the clusterfuck SP ui.
So to be sure, we can grab megascans and messup with them - shape, remix, addaptation etc etc etc?
Yes!

Mind blowing
I love it. I just wouldn't put that obvious stain you added in the end. Because it will show as soon as you have more than 2Mtr. Wall
Why are only local textures and not online textures available in my mixer??
Please please please allow to manually paint Normals and decal Stamps on imported hardsurface models. Thanks.
any sneak peek for 2021 xP
Dude it would be really cool for a realistic maze runner map omgg can u do that bro
easy peasy.
Am i reading the title properly? Thats an option

Agree on this since no professional artists use only a mouse!

Hey brother can you make a vid on how to get 720p 1080p 4k for a game in ue4 from the coding and artistic point of view , would be really helpful
