Best part about this is FJ just drops it in Japanese with zero context or translations for his mostly English audience. Like he's saying "you guys have internet, you can figure it out. "

@@123goofyking Goemon is the name of the main character. It's just, "Do your best, Goemon!" or however you feel like translating ganbare based on context. There's several Goemon games, the only one I ever beat as a kid was Mystical Ninja starring Goemon for the N64, and that game is a trip and a half. Set in vague past-Japan but with modern references and giant robots. It's honestly insane to me 20+ years later that that game got chosen to be localized. Edit: Also notable to me at least for being a game where you save the world and then everybody is PISSED at you for wiping out the alien invasion, because those aliens were actually super popular music stars or something? I don't know, I'm going off memory, not googling the plot of the game. I can't remember if they were secretly evil and the world doesn't know the service Goemon and Co. did for them, or if Goemon and Co. completely misread the situation and did an unwarranted assault on some foreigners. Not only did Jules make this whole video in Japanese for Koro-chan, but even the visuals are in Japanese! That FJ logo with the Japanese text looks AWESOME. 素晴らしい仕事
Okay so reading the description through google translate, I’ve gathered that this was made for Korone by Jules, which explains why he wrote all the text in Japanese.
And this song’s ability to transcend language also speaks true of VGM as no different from “real music”. Take that “from x video game” away from the title and the music never changes. Just like we clicked on this video regardless of the name, I hope people learn to approach all soundtrack music the same :)
That's always been my take as well. The media or origins of the music truly don't matter - what does is that it's a good listen. I'm here to enjoy its sound and not its development process, after all.
I know for a fact its Goemon 2. If jules did this all by himself in Japanese, props to you man. If not then props to the person you asked to help translate.

Good luck Goemon 2 Thank you for watching the guitar cover of the song "Run through the pine corridor"! This song was requested by Inugami Korone of Hololive last year. It's a shame to make this video for such a long time, but everyone should enjoy it! I really like this song. After playing, I came to understand the reason why Korone-chan recommended it. Korone-chan sent me the name of the song in Japanese. Through my research, I found that this song is much more popular in Japan than in my home country of America. So, suddenly I thought it might be interesting to watch all Japanese videos for my English-speaking audience. So click on it and listen to this amazing song. It may be interesting for Korone-chan, but the reason I wanted to do it most was because I wanted to help many people listen to this song. As expected, my Japanese ability is very poor, but my friend helped me translate it into Japanese, so it may have become easier to understand. I want to impress you with the language of music with passion to speak a different language!
Allow me to translate: Uhhmm...let me see..."Jules plays some instruments and they sound real good 2: return of the electric boogaloo featuring Grant Kirkhope and Gilbert Gottfried". Kind of a rough translation, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I could read "Ganbare Goemon"
Didn't change the fact I have no idea what that means :p
