I have been waiting for this piece for a while and I'm just so happy that now we have a new VCA boutique in SF now ( • VAN CLEEF AND ARPELS S... ). This van cleef and arpels vintage alhambra 5 motif guilloche bracelet is so stunning, classic and timeless. I couldn't be more happier to be able to purchase this piece. I am similar size as you so the same bracelet is big for me on my wrist. I wear it as a necklace chocker which is perfect. Especially during cold seasons in long sleeves the necklace shows the craft off . I don't want to resize it because i can wear two ways by just adding a small short chain on my neck. Love it

Beautiful bracelet. I wear mine with my other Alhambra bracelets (MOB and carnelian). It gets scratched up, but not that bad. I fell I love with the guilloche line and hence I also have the matching earrings and 10 motif necklace. They are so beautiful indeed!

Such an exquisite piece. I’m saving to get a guiloche as well and yes the SA did warn me about the wear & tear bit. It’s unavoidable if it’s a bracelet. It will get scratched no matter how careful you are. Thus I’m going to get a necklace instead 😁

I layer mine and I never take it off. If I look really close with glasses on I can see tiny scratches throughout but you have to really be looking for them.

Omg! Bracelet twins! Congrats on your new bracelet. I love my guilloche bracelet. The only bracelet I pair it with is my other vintage Alhambra bracelet that I have (rose gold mother of pearl with diamonds) due to concerns for scratching. Also I feel stacking it takes away from its beauty so for the most part I just wear it on its own. There are scratches but all gold and platinum jewelry will get scratches.

I also bought the Camilla bracelet from chanel . It was released last year . It’s a white Gold with Camilla and diamond but it’s a flexible bracelet don’t need to size . The price is more pricy but it’s worthy it and able to match with other bracelet and a watch all together . It’s 23.000.00 I personally think it’s best to buy the one we want if we can afford instead of getting the one with less price because at the end will still want to another similar one with more price later then to get many similar ones to finally get the the one you wanted the most but didn’t get it in the first so it added up more money . That’s how my experience is This is just my personal experience and how I truly feel but some people just don’t necessary agree .

Congratulations 👏 I have the same piece and wear it daily, on its own without stacking with anything else. Been wearing it for 2 years, it’s definitely prone to scratches but it still retain its shine, hard wearing and in great condition despite wearing it daily including showering, outdoor activities, to gym etc. Really upto you, but getting scratches on it is unavoidable, I believe in wearing and enjoying it :-)

I guess I prefer jewellery that can be exposed to water, perfume, lotion etc which are more care free. Recently got the guilloche earrings (they are stunning!) and will be adding the 10 motif guilloche necklace soon :-)

I have the same bracelet. Definitely be careful stacking it. I suggest you clip the clasp higher up and have a motif dangling like Cartier bracelets.

So beautiful! I recently just bought my guilloche necklace from SF as well. How long did it take for your item to arrive after placing a deposit? When I ordered the necklace, it only took a week. I’m not sure if I want to order it because my SA said it could take up to 3 months and I hate spending money and not having anything yet lol. I was hoping to be able to just purchase one if it comes in but who knows if they ever get them in and they’re not reserved yet.

Congrats! I got the same bracelet a few months ago and it hasn’t come off my wrist since. I personally layer it with my Cartier love bracelets and haven’t seen any scratches on my guilloche.

I've been wearing my Guilloche bracelet for 6 months and don't see any scratches. Wondering what I need to know about resizing as I didn't have them remove any links yet as I didn't want to be without the bracelet.

@@SasaZoe do you like the vcf against the Hermes rose gold? I’m considering getting the Kelly in rose gold but don’t know if it will clash with the vcf guilloche. That’s also my favorite motif in the Alhambra line. I haven’t seen any scratches on mine yet and I wear it next to my watch but no other bangle or bracelet.
@@sqwekity2 yea I actually like how the vca against the rose gold and I think they look good together. I have not tried on the Kelly with my existing stack. It'll be nice to see how they look together. Have you tried it on in person before? That's good to know. I stacked with my existing stack, so far it's fine too:P
