Brilliant video, I'm keeping my points to use for a scheme for a potential honeymoon in January 2026 and it's between BA or Virgin, however I'm keeping my points as AMEX points until I can decide whether to lock into either airline.
BA is usually not good at all when trying to use points, so Virgin might be best. Definitely master all the no-spend point hacks before your honeymoon for max points 🎉
Does seem a lot of effort for smaller returns especially with the annual card fee, okay for people who go to Disney every year, when you watch the US videos for these cards they’re reviewed as a must have but back in old blighty they make less sense
I have been checking avios vs virgin. London to Newyork round trip would be around 60k avios or 30k virgin points and since 1 amex = 1 virgin/1 avios, don't you think converting to Virgin is better?
Hi Andy, thanks for the video. With 1m reward point is there any other better way to maximise spending the point? I don’t have companion voucher as I only hold platinum, so it puts me off to redeem on the flights. At the moment I’m looking at either gift card or hotels.
Great videos you make but is sad that we waist a lot of energy for les than £1000 a year . Big companys just putting billions in owners bank accounts but pay nothing to workers. Shity things coming to hard working people and 1% of population taking 95%of money.
Just the video I was waiting for! Been saving my points as didn't know the best way to utilise them.
What did you decide in the end

Any views on the Yonder card, which is promoting itself as an alternative to Amex?
AMEX all day.. unless AMEX take a turn for the worse… which they haven’t yet so put the time to racking up as many easy AMEX points as possible 💳💯
Would like to know too

Virgin is usually always better 💳❤️🔥

For max value for your points, flights are the way to go. Hotels are usually the next best option
