2022 RAM 1500 Laramie Review.. Why Is This So Good?

  • Ever since the 2019 model year of the RAM 1500 got unveiled, its been the benchmark truck to beat amongst the big players in the segment. For 2022, we see some interesting changes for the new RAM as seen in the review. See my 2021 Ford F-150 Review: • WATCH THIS 2021 Ford F...
    There’s a variety of trim levels you can choose from for the RAM trucks but we also have new special editions to choose from for the Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, Longhorn, and Limited. The GT truck seems enticing but will still make the same HP and Torque as the regular 5.7l Hemi V8.
    The Laramie I tested here has the 5.7l with the eTorque system which I talk about in this review. I would also suggest getting the ecodiesel if you drive a lot or tow often. Some of the exterior enhancements you can make include the Night Edition and Sport option to get color matched bumpers. The interior continues to be class leading and improved further over previous RAMs by offering a stitched dash.
    I also talk about how to purchase or lease a new RAM with a 12% off discount through the AutoCompanion broker found on the leasehackr forum. More details on that towards the Nero fo the review. But keep in mind if you are ordering a new truck, Crew Cab models with the 4x4 will be the most desirable when you go to sell it. Obviously a TRX is a great purchase but not sure about the incentives or deals available with that truck.
    Let me know in the comments if the RAM 1500 is still your go to new truck or will you consider other options like the refreshed Chevy Silverado 1500 or the fully redesigned 2022 Toyota Tundra? Thanks again for watching, if you found value please like and subscribe.

    I just bought a 22' Ram Hemi Etorque and it gets a solid 18 to 19 mpg. Now if i drive 60mph on flat ground i can get 24mpg. The truck likes to float, just cruises. My wife really likes this truck. Here's a little example. Hook up her Ipod and it shows the play list on the screen, you can also have the ipod and my phone hooked up at once. Tested another Ram truck with a pioneer stereo system and the stock Ram stereo system is clearer and sounds better. The stock stereo system in are Big Horn is Perfect. And then storage, no other truck beats the Ram in this category, with Ram boxes, ice box, center console and tonneau clover. Biggest thing is...... I feel that we bought a truck that is very reliable and has been around a long time.

    I bought a '22 Laramie w/ the EcoDiesel two weeks ago. There's a ton of them available right now, and the 0% APR is a deal that you need to jump on now. Mine came w/ the blind spot monitoring. If you're looking, there's a difference between the level 1 tech package and the level a tech package. Half the RAMs on the lot had one or the other - this means half came w/ monitoring and half didn't. I think it's like $400 more w/ the BSM. So far, I love the truck. Super comfortable and 800 miles in I'm averaging 29.7 MPG (70% highway driving).

    There are many days, for leisure, I take my RAM over my Porsche. It's just a comfortable, spacious, laid back ride. Luxury with all the chrome, 12" screen, heated seats. Let alone they really hit the ballpark with their engine, and especially the TRX model. Considering my last vehicle was a modern Navigator, that's impressive. Also- I disagree on the screen. Yes it has some temp controls, but they are at the side and wireless CarPlay uses the entire screen.

    It is true that they did, at least briefly, take away the blindspot/cross traffic monitoring for the Laramie. I ordered my ‘22 Laramie in September ‘21 and those options were not available in any package. If you go out to Ram’s site now, you still can’t build it with these options, however, yourself and another guy on a Ram forum confirmed that they are available again. I’m going to see if I can get a retrofit because I feel like I was cheated. The truck in the vid is almost identical to mine, by the way.

    Why didn’t you recommend Rebel? Any particular reason?

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yea sorry I should have elaborated more on that. Nothing wrong with the rebel only reason why I don’t think it’s the optimal choice is because RAM did such a good job on making this into a luxury product that I believed the Big Horn, Laramie, and Limited trims suite this vehicle and its mission of being a luxury truck the best. I totally left out the off road crowd but I guess the Rebel is a good off road choice if you’re into that. But the best Stellantis off road products are def the Jeeps. The all terrain tires and lifted nature of the Rebel take away some of the luxury qualities but it’s cool if that’s what you’re into. Nothing inherently wrong with the Rebel

    When the so called shortages are corrected and these >$60,000 American made trucks are worth maybe 40k there will be a fire sale

      That’s never happening prices will never go down they will only keep going up so normal humans can never have a chance of buying anything
