How are they blaming fans when they are literally making fan groups for upcoming projects from now on yes companies say dumb shite at times but that doesn't necessarily mean all the people working in those companies are terrible people
Infact the only time I can think of when it came to blaming people is when Disney made a comment on lgbtq people and blamed them for the failures of their films before that I can hardly think of times when they blamed fans

I really think they wasted the Star Wars moment for all these great young actors. Dafne Keen is one of the best young actress. Her star wars career is over. So many others. Daisy 🌼 is lovely, talented but her career was ruined by staring in bad movies. Hayden too. Could have been great if in anything except Star Wars. Where is the next Harrison Ford? How would we knot? They probably killed them off already.

I agree with you. I had no criticism against the actors. The writing was not that engaging. My complaint has been that with 6 or 8 episodes, you don't have enough time to develop the characters to really care about them, especially when you spend gobs of money on special effects and CGI. Disney has too much sway over the production and direction of the TV shows and movies and Lucasfilms doesn't seem to be pushing for better writing and storytelling. I think Andor and the Mandalorian were excellent examples of great stories and writing. I've been watching the Kai Patterson revisions of Obi Wan, Ashoka, and Boba Fett. His version were much better than what we got from Disney.

I'm not sure but I can't say I remember them defending hardly anyone. Simu Liu might have been a good Prince Xizor. Lately I've been pondering how a few D-Characters might have fit in with the Old EU. Jodie would have made a good Gethzerion: Finn would have totally been one of Luke's Jedi Trainees. If we put him back in the first class. Poe goes to Wraith Squad.

I'm probably the only one even remotely interested in this Rey movie. I know that everyone hates the Sequels, I'm not even that much of a Sequel fan, but they keep getting shafted just like the Prequels did back in the day. It was so refreshing to finally see SOMETHING reference the Sequels with Rebuild the Galaxy (the new LEGO special) because of how much the series has been doing outside of the sequels. It annoys how people hate the Sequels so vitriolicly, especially those who try to write them off as "non-canon" just because they don't like them!

I'd like the rey movie to set up a new villain. Do like the Hand of Thrawn duology. A plot is akin to the caamas document crisis and B plot with Rey chasing down echoes of a looming extra galactic threat. I'm tired of dark vs light, especially post endor. That has to end at some point for the saga to have any meaning.

Disney condemning the fandom would be the equivalent of ending the Star Wars brand. TLJ and ROS went along way toward pushing fans away and the Mandoverse has done a lot to bring Star Wars back to Star Wars. But should Disney attack the fans now following the disastrous product the Acolyte was, they may as well look at selling the franchise and content because it will be finished in the fans eyes.

I was hopeing Finn will return as a Jedi and Rey Skywalker facing a new female villain. Let's hope the new Jedi order movie will release on December 2025 and I really wish I was in that movie. I could be the son of Luke Skywalker. On the bright side, the acolyte did great with really good lightsaber duels and we need to see the first Skywalker in the acolyte season 2 or a sequel movie.

They don’t really have a chance to show off the good acting chops it’s not entirely the fault either. It’s the fact that the higher-ups at they can turn Star Wars into an assembly line. I can’t agree with you about the Acolyte. Ahsoka was far worse (literal garbage) and yet did not divide the fandom. To me it was the most disappointing show Disney have made and squandered some of the best characters in SW. A huge amount of the negativity around Acolyte came from the culture wars. It had 25,000 negative reviews on Rotten Tomatoes by episode 4; that’s more reviews than 3 whole seasons of Mando. Yet it also had low viewing numbers? That smells like review bombing to me. No Acolyte was not the best written SW ever; that accolade goes to Andor! But it also isn’t the worst show and did not deserve the vitriol it received.

That doesn’t excuse actors getting abuse just because of roles they played, even if it is a small minority.

The majority isn't toxic. Anyone that says even the slightest thing negative or dislikes anything in even the most minor way are labeled as toxic. Absolutely agree that actors dont deserve poor treatment.

@shadowblack2021 lol the majority of fans are toxic I literally got trashed on just cause I thought ahsoka was better then most star wars projects regardless of whether those projects were legends stories or canon
I even got mocked abd made fun of for thinking the last jedi was great this fandom very rarely respects other people's opinions infact I've basically given up on star wars because of all the negative experiences I've had in the last 4 years

Honestly though Disney star wars has had a mix of ups and downs iver the years but i feel like the toxic side of the fandom has been gaining attraction over the years its one of many reasons why ik no longer a fan

i really liked Mother Aniseya. I thought it was really interesting watching her navigate and balance the coven, the force, & the desires of her daughters. We got such a small peak at the coven in season 1, would have been so cool to see what else we could have learned from season 2. There was so much hinted at going on with the coven and their possible entanglement with the Sith. wish fans were more patient and gave the Acolyte time to develop

The Acolyte wasn't bad, just not great given its cost, and general audiences are likely getting bored of Star Wars (like the MCU) and the fanbase was very divided going into the series. Haters may not be the majority of fans but they are a very vocal and energized minority, they were hating on The Acolyte months in advance of its release, bemoaning the "woke" showrunner and actors, and that type of negative content gets clicks and views, it pushes folks like Star Wars Theory into the eye of the media, and like a fallen Jedi, folks like Star Wars Theory find the Darkeside easier, it brings views and thus money, that's how TH-cam works.
Yeah, The Acolyte wasn't worth the money Disney spent, for me it was a good watch, but not something I'm going to return to like Mando, Boba Fett, Ahsoka, or Andor. Lots of people felt the same, so its viewership fell. But some very prominent Star Wars content creators were salivating over picking over the carcass of the failure they were gleefully predicting, and this type of content creation can encourage people to vent their darker emotions through social media on the cast members and creative team.

Some of the actors said some not so smart things and the show did not have alot of viewers because it was not good but Disney is blaming everybody else for their own failure.

I can’t get down with bad story argument. I can say that mandalorian has bad writing. But the majority of fans like because of fan service. I thought she was interesting character. Guess the majority of fans have very narrow tastes. And that’s a problem I think.

Mando DID have bad writing, see season 3, s1 and s2 were really good though. The Acolyte was just THAT bad, I can't say if it was worse than Book of Boba Fett as I only made it through episode 2 of the acolyte before I tapped out, Boba I got through 4 episodes so not much better lol.

@@kcOO69360 for me, a big part of the bad writing for Mando S3 was the reestablishment of Mandalore as a planet. It seemed very forced and veered too sharply from the "Man with No Name" vibe that the first two seasons had. They could have done a "Mandalorians" series that just dealt with the resettlement of Mandalore, and then have Djarin and Grogu make guest appearances from time to time. It seems like they wanted the Mythosaur in play and rushed to do it for some reason. Could we see Grogu riding the Mythosaur in the Mando & Grogu movie? I dunno. Pacing, Lucasfilm, pacing.
