LOL. Is it wrong that I laughed reading my own quote? You don't want to know how often something like that comes out of my mouth. One other thing relatable is how difficult it is to gain traction on TH-cam. At least this video always gets views. Thank you for sharing your comment and glad you thought the tutorial was valuable!

LOL. Great Comment. I feel your pain. I originally spent days trying to figure out how to piece two 360 videos together. When I figured it out I knew I had to make a video. One of the great things about it is discovering other people's content who use the 360 camera. Looks like I have some new content to watch via your channel instead of all the "how to make better videos" content I get suggested via TH-cam. Cheers!! 🚤🍺

Thank you very, very much. I've been struggling to do this. I've followed other videos on TH-cam. You method is simplest. It works. I have Davinci resolve 18.6. On a WINDOWS 10 machine.
The following may or may not be tips you may want to use in Windows.
The render tab looks a little different but it doesn't matter. The screen that asks if you want to change the settings to match does come up. I want to have a timeline that matches the video resolution. I check the timeline properties to make sure. If it doesn't you can create and use a new timeline ( cnt N). Uncheck use project settings, format tab, then set your custom resolution. Also, if you don't have a fast machine (and even if you do) you can setup proxies. Too many other sites made this a complicated process.
I've spend a several hours trying to make this work. I can't thank you enough. I subscribed. :)

So with that, I'm wondering if anyone else is having quality issues? I seem to loose a great bit of detail and clarity. Your video looks crisp and clear. Thank you for your comment. Which videos of mine are you referring to? All of my 360 videos are straight from Insta360 Studio. All my reframed videos I've used Davinci Resolve. I do reframe everything in Insta360 Studio first and import that into Davinci. I just find it easier. The only exception is my first video which is the time lapse one of the Pt Point Canal. That was in iMovie. I haven't had the opportunity to make a video that puts together multiple 360 videos yet, but maybe now I'll do that for this week. Almost all my footage on the water is shot with my Insta360 X3 camera. The only other camera I use for all my content is my 5 year old iPhone XR. Having said that, I shoot everything at 24 fps. Manual settings: ISO 100, EV 0, WB Auto, Color Vivid, Shutter Auto. Recently I've been exporting/encoding everything H.265, February 2024 and prior is all H.264.

Hmmm. Double check your scaling settings. That can be found at 5:52 mark of the video.
Make sure you are NOT reframing anything with the KvrReframe360Ultra plugin. Technically you don't need it. Try the following as a quick test. Go into your Insta360 app and export two short 360 videos, make them 10 seconds each. View them to make sure they are 360 video in the GoPro Player. Bring them both into Davinci Resolve, adjust the scaling, put a transition between them and then export it. Make sure on your screen it looks all warped and stretched out. Don't use the KvrReframe at all. Once exported, play it to make sure it looks weird. Then use the Spatial Media Metadata Injector and see what happens when viewed in the GoPro Player. Let me know how you make out. Good Luck!

Hi Marc. I'm assuming you're working via terminal prompt and want to check if python is installed. Mine is in a subdirectory of /opt
At Prompt Type: find /opt -name "python" -print
You should find it in /opt/local/bin
You can also search for pyinstaller: find /opt -name "pyinstaller" -print
You can then type: echo $path
Scan through the list of directories and make sure the directories for python and pyinstaller are listed in the path that was returned via the echo $path command.
To get to that directory use the 'cd' command.
      Example: cd /opt/local/bin

I was using a Mac so double check that. Also note that you don’t even need the KVR. You’re going to disable it when you actually render your video.
