    This guy Mitch is fucking awesome -- I've watched a few of his interviews so far and every single time he asks very in depth intelligent questions; you won't find an interview like this in Rolling Stone or even Guitar World magazine -- he actually listens to their music and even asks them about recording techniques, writing, playing style...I wish I worked at Sweetwater!

    Tosin Abasi and Animals as Leaders are what happens when you are an open minded musician. Instead of just being locked into one genre, explore them all!

    • @combatwombatt
      @combatwombatt 10 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      very true. Matt went to berklee and studied ALOT more sub genres than i thought. he did stuff like Afro cuban, jazz, swing, latin, and all that stuff. and basically he just incorporates all those styles into his playing. it's crazy how amazing he is

  • @ThePlaguedRaven
    @ThePlaguedRaven 11 ปีที่แล้ว +47

    Too many interviewers keep asking Tosin the same questions over and over, I think they need to do their research and find out what he's already been asked, that way they can come up with something new. I swear this is probably 5th time I've heard him answer about 70% of those questions over again. :(

    • @forextroll
      @forextroll 11 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    He used to skate. Can this guy command any MORE respect from me?

    • @EliteXtasy
      @EliteXtasy 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jay Mazella ...You respect someone because he plays the guitar and skates? Everyone should have mutual respect for each other, but you need to get your priorities straight.

    • @Floral_Green
      @Floral_Green 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No idea what leads you to believe to I don't already respect those around me; it seems that you, the one looking for reason to argue where none exists, need get your own priorities straight.

    • @EliteXtasy
      @EliteXtasy 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jay Mazella
      I never said that you don't respect others - it was a disclaimer about respect. If rolling around and playing a musical instrument are the reasons why you respect someone, you need stop being a little boy and grow up. Admiration should not be confused with respect.

    • @Floral_Green
      @Floral_Green 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Right. Well it seems to me that you have little to no grasp on what the concept of 'respect' entails, so despite your efforts here I'm going to just disregard what you've said to me and not apply it to my life in any way.

    • @Floral_Green
      @Floral_Green 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +EliteXtasy For a guy that insists on starting needless arguments, your insults are just God-awful. "Grow up, kid".. projecting much? ;}

      Limitations in the band he played with before his solo project. There were certain grounds he couldn't cover as they would be too outlandish for their respective style of music.
