  • It is okay to sometimes have defense without offense, however you should never have offense without defense. In this episode of Pullmanomics, professional boxing trainer John Pullman will go over defending yourself after you punch. This is a very important thing to do to make sure all your grounds are covered. Today specifically we will cover how to defend ourselves after the jab. We'll go over using footwork, slips, rolls, blocking and mixing up your defense after your opponent throws a jab.
Although todays video is demonstrated in the southpaw stance, it is very similar to defend yourself in the right handed stance.

Hello coach Im begginer southpaw and your videos really provides kind of standards. could I ask u a question? as a southpaw, I was taught to keep controlling the opponent's lead hand. But I think I've seen a lot of southpaw boxers who don't stretch their lead hand. I wanna know the advantage of playing like this. thank u again!

What’s the best way to workout for boxing? Which types of routines? Lighting weights all the time is not the way? Would love to know the workouts, thank you!

This is a great topic for a video since its hard to cover it all in a comment. We're planning on doing a strength and conditioning video focused on boxing!
