I was on Mardi Gras last week and I wasnt sure what was free. There was a sign for Wings at one of the places (I think it was in front of the Fry place).
Hey. Was great meeting you on the inaugural sailing! However, there is just one incorrect statement here. The "street eats" section is completely complimentary on the Jubilee.
Another point, is that the bar on deck 6 is actually called Dr. Inks, after the Octopus mascot... it does read as "drinks", which is a pretty clever way to stay with the underwater theme, while hinting to exactly what that venue provides

Carnival Jubilee decorations look amazing on the ship with all the activities passengers could do when on their cruise. Amazing job carnival.
Correction… Cucina del Capitano is Complimentary. Rudy’s is not, but Cucina is. Once the inaugural season is done, then it is complementary for your first dinner there and then they only charge $8 for dinner beyond that first visit.

J, great meeting you on the ship! But, the kids camps are open in Port. I always get my massages on port days. I dropped my 9 year old off at camp while we were in Cozumel during this voyage. That is the only time that I make her go to camp. Any other time, she can be with me. Lol

Thank you!! I was looking at a cruise on this ship earlier today. We like to cruise out of Galveston as we have family in the area. We have been on (I think) all the ships that cruise from this port. So its nice to see a new one we can cruise on.

Oooh I do like this ship, seems they have thought of everything, the adult only areas, Kids areas, teens areas, smoking areas, pools, ironing area.. lots of nice eateries that are complimentary! Alchemy bar (Alchemist bar in UK) is a fantastic place to get imaginative drinks.Cherry on top looks amazing!!
I was on the Mardi Gras and it’s very similar to this. Just a few things that are different theme wise.
Why does every ship have the smallest and underwhelming pools I've ever seen
Because water weighs a lot. Those pools aren’t designed for swimming in, just to get wet and splash around.

Jay, when more new cruise ships come out please do a tour of the ship thanks. I like it in your videos you can talk about your experiences as a crew member when news comes out for the cruise ship industry and you can put your knowledge out their from working as a crew member on a ship.

I recently went on a cruise on Carnival Breeze, and we met a couple in Galveston who were going on Jubilee.

Great Video! a little question. What time do you film your tour videos to avoid the crowds?
All food on Lido is free except Seafood Shack - all street eats is included, which this video did not mention, in fact it was alluded to that there was a cost, which there is no cost.
OK so if parents do the math, it's at least $50-$100 extra per kid just for the roller coaster, not to mention the arcade! lol
I'll take the arcade over the coaster any day!
When I took Carnival growing up, the kids club set all the arcade machines to free play and we got to play in there for an hour.
I was just on the Celebration and it looks sooo much like the Jubilee. We stayed in the excell aft corner suite and it was great. Booked the same one for next year in the Jubilee June 2025

Happy New Year, Jay. I’m enjoying your review of Jubilee- you said that people can enjoy 3 laps on BOLT?!? I went on BOLT in September and only got to enjoy 2 laps. Has that been changed by Carnival?
I loved the Mardi Gras but one thing I cant figure out is why they designed the main stage the way they did. Yes, its cool that you can see the show from 3 different decks, but they put most of the seating on deck 6 under deck 7. If you are sitting at a table you can almost never see what is going on with the big screen they have. They have smaller TVs hanging that will show you, but you dont really go to a production show to watch it on TV.
One thing that IS really cool is that you can actually see the performers preparing throughout the day. Anytime you walk past the stage you can see people practicing lines and dance moves, doing actrobatic moves, and rehearsing. I am not sure how it makes the performers feel. I would get coffee from Java Blue and then sit and watch them practice.
the interior looks exactly like identical to the mardi gras, i was on mardi gras in feb of last year and this whole tour got me thinking really hard, it is identical.

My biggest problem with these carnival XL class ships is the main stage.. it’s a terrible layout and half the ppl can’t see the show because of how it’s setup. I hated it on Mardi Gras im gonna hate it on jubilee when I go in March
I agree! It was terrible on the Celebration, too.
Other reviewers have pointed out several changes that they've made to that area to improve the views. Still not perfect, but much better.
it was OK i guess....but i was really disappointed that the screens were never retracted to allow views through the massive windows behind the screens.
I have to ask is the game room open to all ages and I'm a big pinball fan is there any?

My opinion: I don't like these new cruise ships because it's confusing to figure out what's complementary and what isn't. I'm old school, where you got on the ship and the food was free and you didn't have to pay for this and that. To me, these ships nickel and dime you, even before you get to the port. But maybe that's the idea.

If you’re an performer or you work on the ship and it’s your day off, are you allowed to walk around the ship with normal ppl? And eat and drink?
In general the performers are not the same as regular employees and they do have more freedom. On Mardi Gras, I remember seeing a performer or two in the gym. Not sure if they can go around drinking. Unless they are some star singer, they have to stay in shape so that they don't outgrow their stage outfits. The star singers are given a bit more leeway b/c they're the stars.

I do not blame him I blame the staff person who gave him erroneous info ...it is not like he was talking off the top of his head...Now he knows to double check the info which is unfortunate because you would expect the staff to know what is happening on their ship...sigh sign of the times..

The Jubilee belongs to the XL or Excellence Class. Class in general which includes the Mardi Gras and Celebration is documented as a whole as having the first Roller Coaster at sea.
