I agree because I'm 84 born. In the 90s ....everybody had their own style with a message. Sad but true how this generation has fallen for the bait. SAD
I play multiple instruments.. nothing like hip-hop but back in the 90's I was into all of this.. my favorite next to the roots illidelph half-life I love the Gravediggaz...
That's why I love this guy,he 's incredibly not superficial .He is intelligent, him and Masta Killa are my Best of the Wu. GZA is more scientific, social, and his lyrics are great. Masta Killa was at first more in the shade, has thenearly same voice as Meth but more slow rappin . Today HIP HOP is behind the scene,it's House Hip Hop,Superficial Hip Hop sang by long haired gus legging pants . Music has lost it's style. Since mid 2000s the South ,and G-Rap has broken the scene ,with subject of individual guys callin Gangstas appearing themselves with women, women called hoes, music has a Dirty South style called Crunk and all melted with G-Rap. Even NY took the style. It has become international . The guy who was listening rock ,has now become a HIP HOP clothers. Even in the 2000s was better, with baggies etc...Now style has changes. This is not Hip HOP anymore.
I could listen to GZA for the rest of time. So much wisdom and insight.
Peace to GZA I agree completely I feel the same about music right now.
GZA is REAL HIP HOP...

Dope interview
This looks like a really old interview. Gza looks so young. Agree with what he said thought. Still holds true

I'm a huge fan respect
“Savaged out” how sadly appropriate. I miss the emotional intellect you had in the music from past generations.
The 80s and 90s rap had so much impact than nowdays
Word my G
When was this interview filmed? Just curious?
Great clip! I agree with everything he said. There's no diversity today in hip hop. Only one style & type of sound gets pushed. Ask yourself why.....
PEACE INDEED GOD, LYRICAL INTELLIGENT SKILLS. POETRY IN MOTION, HAVING SOMETHING TO SAY, EVEN WHEN IT WAS STREET POETRY INVOLVED.
Ok gza
I wanna play you in a game of chess
My first move is pawn up two on queen side

The closest thing to the Wu Tang phenomenon is Non Phixion crew.
