    Everyone, Keep in mind there are 52 or 54 other countries inside the continent of Africa. All are beautiful and unique in many different ways, not to mention cultures, people, food, land, climate and art. Visit at least 2 in your lifetime. Nothing will ever be the same and no one can lie about Africa to you! The only thing poor are the wicked powers that try to control economic development. Tanzania is on my list. Stay Strong FAMILY ❤

    for those confused on the price. if you google "msasani apartments for rent" you will find apartments in this neighborhood for $600 to $1000 a month and to pay three to six months in advance -- and they aren't nearly as nice as the one in this video.
    the rent for this one in this video is $1200 a month, 3 months in advance. in other words, you pay 3600 a quarter.

      but i prefer mombasa to dar in so many ways, and prefer nairobi to both of them: i spent 2018 and 2019 interviewing east african cities because i've grown tired of living in cape town. nairobi was the winner, but i'll do mombasa in months without an "R" in them; the swahili coast is too hot for me the other months of the year. lol

  • @josephbrown1573

    One thing that i do not like about Africa is the lack of zoning enforcement . How is anyone allowed to build an apartment building in what looks like an expensive , residential neighbor hood? Look at the mansion next door and the ones across the street. On the street where I built my house in Nigeria some one built a warehouse for his business I kid you not . So everyday there is so much noise from this business loading up their trucks! To be honest I was not aware, bothered until I moved to and bought a house in America . What do my fellow Africans on here think about it ?

    • @afroman6172
      @afroman6172 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You are using American standards to judge Tanzania. There are apartments that are considered high end and therefore fit in expensive neighbourhoods.

    • @josephbrown1573
      @josephbrown1573 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@afroman6172 In America you cannot build an apartment building/business in a residential area and its not about American standards .These are basics town planning principles, but they are not enforced in most African countries . They did enforce them for a time in the Nigerian capital Abuja. . If I own my house why would I want to live next door to renters , who come and go ,and could be anybody. I have lived in my development here in the US for twenty years .I know all my neighbors .

    • @afroman6172
      @afroman6172 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@josephbrown1573 They are American standards. Yes residential areas are not meant for businesses, that is common sense. But the notion that apartments can't be built among houses is not a law written in stone. You would have to show that it goes against building codes in the specific country in order to ask for its enforcement. You can't ask for it to be enforced in some African country simply because it's law in America.

      Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard them say $1200 for 3 months,which is $ 400 per month.The manager said it's possible to negotiate a month by month contract,which is somewhat unusual for Tanzania where you usually pay 6 or 12 months upfront,so that's a good deal for someone looking for a luxury apartment for less than a years' term.
