Your attention to detail with, in some cases, a minute by minute account of your flight reflects a genuinely caring attitude toward your subscribers and casual viewers. To compile all of it into a video that captures viewers' interest for an extended period of time rises above expectations. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your wonderful comment! Really appreciate your feedback, so pleased that you enjoy the videos, and I feel truly blessed to be able to release content that people like yourself watch and enjoy!
Fantastic video mate. One of my faves from you. The Captain sounded super friendly, I was an aircraft dispatcher for 9 years and always found the Danish Crews friendly! Nice work :)
Times have changed. To be able to fly across the pond with 2 engines and an inoperative APU. I use to be flight crew member on the L-1011 and before that DC-8. Rules were different back then. Nice flight by the way.
Trans-Atlantic flight in a 737...I always thought that Norwegian used 787's outside of Europe, seems a bloody long flight in a narrowbody.06:46:22 Good to see Edinburgh customs are on the ball...:)
I love these videos cause I dont got my mother screaming at me to close the window during flights😂 When vacationing flying is one of my favourite parts cause it gives you this weird feeling and love peering out the window. Anyway thanks for the fantastic content 🫡 Gonna binge 6 hours of this
This is definitely one of my favourite videos of yours, Noel. I remember back when I was a little younger I always wanted to fly Norwegian. At the time they did flights from my home airport (Belfast Int’l) to New York Stewart airport on either the 737-800 or the Max. Sadly Norwegian had stopped those flights a few years ago due to lack of demand. Hopefully I’ll be able to fly Norwegian in the future. I know this video is 6 years old, but even back then your videos were top quality standard 👌
Love the real time map on the video, I guess it works all the way when you are on overland flights. At 6.14 some fairly high clouds there. Love the full flight videos Noel, keep up the amazing work.
@@Orikix I'm asking myself the same question. Maybe she was disoriented and didn't know which bus to take or didn't see the bus. Thought maybe the bus had already left without her? Either way, it wasn't really her fault, imagine being jetlagged and in a little panic without any knowledge of air traffic and there's noone around at the stairs to guide the people. It's not even that dangerous, the engines were off and she was running around the back of the plane, where the bus later drove, too.
Been down that road many times. Took Norwegian pvd to Shannon I loved the plane miss Norwegian flying out around here hopefully someone will do something again
Just curious...how did you have the camera positioned when you were walking thru the terminal? Did you use the GoPro Chest Mount? And did you get questioned about why you're recording all this?
Awesome stuff again! I keep directing people who complain about the timelapse in my videos to your channel 😂 Now I can actually direct them from my Providence video to this 👌perfect!
Outstanding video. Eeish, I am really surprised an aerline would use a B737-type plane for a long haul flight like that. All in all, the flight looked to have been good with the exception of no IFE. Keep up the good work, Lad.
Noel, there might be another Trans-Atlantic route from/to Scotland that you fancy reviewing and that is: Airline: Air Transat City 1: Glasgow City 2: Toronto Pearson airport I gather it really only operates during the summer months ( not really sure if that's BST/GMT or what). But it's a flight that my parents have taken several times in the past when visiting some relatives from my Dad's side of the family. The costs are supposedly quite reasonable and I think it's a330 aircraft that are used by the Canadian airline. As I say, it's just a suggestion. In the meantime I hope that you are well, and keep the good videos coming.👏👍🤝 Plus the other thing I meant to say is that I have noticed that some of your videos that you don't really talk. Please do.
My question is this, why did they put a 737 aircraft plane flying across the Atlantic to Scotland ??...I would think they would have put a 757, 767 or even 777 in that postion......
It depends on the sort of numbers that they generally have wanting to use this particular service. There's no real point in putting on a 777 or an a330 if they only really get it half-full on a consistent basis. It's like why KLM or Iberia have never really invested in adding an a380 to their fleet, because they know how expensive they are to buy and maintain and they realise that they don't really need one. Plain old finance is all it comes down to at the end of the day.
The new "Basic Economy" tickets on the 3 US airliners American United and Delta is horrible. You are not allowed to use the overhead bins and you are not allowed to pick your seat. They assign you a seat when you check in at the airport. So you might get an isle seat and not a window seat. If you want the choice to use the overhead bin and pick your seat you have to pay more for your ticket.
Skal det til Oslo det er favoritt plassen min fordi jeg elsker og fly og jeg elsker noen av hotellen exspempel scadic hotel Oslo AirPort og sas hotel❤❤
Awesome video! The Boeing 737 is one of my favorite aircraft to fly on. Never flew on the MAX. Loved the sunrise! Remember: ALWAYS sit on the left side of the aircraft to get a stunning sunrise view. 🌅 I tracked this flight earlier in August, AND I tracked this exact aircraft from Providence to Edinburgh 2 months ago! Questions: 1. What if your GoPro camera stops working the last minute before your flight or during the flight. What would you do? 2. What if you ran out of memory and you had NO SD card with you. What would you do?
Thanks Branden! Yep love the sunrise over the Atlantic :) Well if it stops working during the flight I have 3 other cameras that I can film with. On the outbound flight the camera overheated a few times so I had to film inside the cabin with my other camera for some of it. And I always carry too many SD cards, so I have plenty of spares and usually know roughly how many I'll need for a certain flight. In an emergency I will just buy them at the airport - but I did lose one once (on my Qatar Airways flight) and lost the onboard footage from Austrian Airlines flights :( These are the things I have nightmares about, haha :)
Here is something fun to do when you fly. I have a Garmin Sat Nav I take on the plane with me when I fly. It actually holds on to a signal and works !!
And have fun on your Norwegian and especially Flight #666! I will be following your flights LIVE and keep in touch with your Facebook and Twitter page for more information! Happy Travels!
Many Scandinavian people are able to speak English and those who can are often able to do so very well as the Danish captain Lars Pettersen has demonstrated. It's interesting just how many British people actually work for some of the Northern European airlines such as Norwegian and KLM.
Six hours in a 737? I flew them once to Guadeloupe. About 4 hours...not very comfortable but very cheap. The cheap price made the discomfort worthwhile.
Very safe. Very well maintained aircraft and well trained crews. If it makes you feel better, one of their flights suffered a tyre blow out on takeoff that took out half the hydraulics system the other week. The pilot made a perfect landing at Birmingham under incredibly difficult conditions with not a mark on the aircraft or any passengers!
6 hours of flight without an in-flight entertainment? Perhaps there should be an app to enjoy the in-flight entertainment on tablets and/or smartphones…
There is - check out 4:28:55 you can watch movies, TV and live TV on your device as well as get the flight map. There's free wifi throughout the flight too so you can watch TH-cam or other online services, and USB power to keep your devices charged.
I agree with you. I've tried several times e-gates and they work very well. However I don't see any officer at the Green Channel in order to randomly inspect passenger's bags.
Henrique Silva APU Gen must be online and available to the AC bus for all 737 ETOPS segments. Can only assume that the APU was serviceable but the pneumatic load compressor was not. Either that or they flew further north and were able to remain within 60min of adequate airports.
Not many, over the next few years we'll see a large amount of the 757 routes replaced by the A321LR which enters service over the next 2 years but for airlines without A321LR orders the 757 will remain in service into the 2020s before being replaced by either a 797 type aircraft if it is developed or A330neo/787-8/-9 capacity increases. Transatlantic 737MAX operations are being pursued mostly by all narrow body low cost carriers or by mixed ultra low cost carriers such as Norwegian. Hope it helps :)

They do have Wifi and USB ports, but they keep amenities light so they can have the cheapest way of getting across the Atlantic. With these little planes, Norwegian gets people from Newburgh/Providence to Ireland in high-season for less than $100.

I had to make sure I was the first off the bus to go through passport control, which worked and I was the first one through - only just made the next flight as the gate was closing though!
I'm surprised. The 737 isn't designed for long haul flights. Maybe the 777 assigned to this flight broke down, and a determined 737 takes the job instead.

A320X and 737NG's are certified ETOPS for transatlantic flights
Providence is not a huge airport, and a 737 can go the distance
It depends on the sort of numbers that they generally have wanting to use this particular service.

Nobody checks incoming passengers from outside the EU at the UK Customs?!?
Passport control at most UK airports is automated machines for UK passport holders. Non-EU passport holders must use the manned desks.

When you will go fly in Houston IAH TX?
So it was a 6 hour flight? A flight to the canary islands is just 1 hour 30 minutes longer, pretty manageable. I guess it depends on the jetstream.
Yep just under 6 hours eastbound, but slightly longer westbound. It's not a long flight, perfect for the 737 :)
The Canary Islands is actually 4 hours 34 mins
