    As a student who once struggled with confidence in academics as well as I had behavioral issues that came from home life.
    I can not agree with this approach more.
    Be a breathe of fresh air for ur students. You have no idea what they maybe going through at home. Some may not even have a place to call home. Help them to feel wanted and appreciated. They made it to school, for some thats a big accomplishment of the day. And that accomplishment should be acknowledged. Respect. ✊🏽

    What would you suggest for substitutes?

      You first want to follow the school and classroom expectations. Then follow the sub plans and keep students busy bell to bell. Give incentive if they do well at the end of the day and let them know that expectation. Be firm and talk to your neighbor teachers to get a feel on the class.
