    I have a c55 amg with the na motor. Same handbuilt m113. It will go 500k. There is a factory warranty for the electronic brake system. Unlimited miles 25 years. Goes out eventually but free to fix. Anyways. You will be mad you sold it for anything under 8. Just keep looking for 8 or 9.

    We have a dealership down south. Our market is limited to the basic transportation. We sell to people who need 4 wheels that roll.We buy a lot of rebuilt title cars. Only because the miles are low the year is normally 2013 and up the profit margin s are high for us.The amg is about what I would expect in damage not a perfect car. The car looks fine to sell without putting a lot in it. 3500 to 4000 is about right price. Learned a lot from your TH-cam videos.

    If it were me (which it's not, i've never had a Mercedes-Benz), I'd have some fun with it, make some cheap fixes (emphases on CHEAP), and then sell it. As for upgrading a title from salvage to reconstructed/rebuilt, I think it's different depending on the state. My father had trouble getting around and my options were to buy a really expensive mobility van, or buy a regular van and stick ramp + winch in it. So I bought a salvage Ford Transit, took it to get it inspected, they checked to make sure that the horn worked, the blinkers, high + low beams, and upgraded the title from salvage to rebuilt. As for the repairs that I did, I did nothing. Not even a wash + wax. I'm in Texas by the way.

    • @willisix2554

    • @vivillager
      @vivillager 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@willisix2554, "repair" can be rather subjective. To some it means replacing body panels and re-spraying the entire car. To me, repair means bondo and the cheapest paint in a spray can. Both are repairs, even though there is a difference in price

    I rebuild plastic bumpers with cracks and missing pieces. Fiberglass or Bondo boat repair with kitty hair fiber glass mix works. You drill holes on both sides of crack run zip ties like stitches or string. Then coat it put tape on back side of crack butter the better butter less sanding. Any body shop dumpster has free sandpaper. I spray glue sandpaper on electric palm sander. I once took whole summer sand panel

    At under $2k I'd just keep it and have some fun in it for a while & over a year or so repair the most glaring cosmetic issues. Then decide what to do. Awesome car, too bad it's been treated so badly. Still just 101k miles! The engine/trans in those cars are amazing and are surprisingly reliable.

Who really rebuilds salvage cars to 100% with quality parts? (Except Goonzquad) 😂 i just half ass it and drive them. I've researched these 04 to 06 w219, w211 amg cars for a while. I need to replace my 96 w210 diesel. Anyway, It seems these are bullet proof aside from the air suspension which fails, the radio that quits, radiators fail causing "strawberry milkshake" in tranny/radiator, a thermostat issue, valve cover gasket leaks, and now there's an airbag recall. I'm not a dealer (merc nerd) but if no check engine, srs, abs lites, I would source the correct wheels (those are from a c class) get new tires, change out the seats, get a good detail done and price it at $7.5k depending on mileage.

    Great video !! I’m Talking with experience, I was telling my girl right now , we were watching your vlog together ,
    Im in the same business, I wouldn’t put 1 dollar more and would sell it for less profit ,
    Example sell it for $3500, instead of fixing it and selling it for few dollars more example $500 more
    Your better of making less ,
    reason # 1) less stress , cause you have less money in it ,
    2) your not gonna wait untill the car is fixed and are able to sell it fast ( makes sense sell it faster and make a bit less )
    3) god forbid u fix it and engine or transmission brakes after you invested more money
    4) because it’s cheaper you are targeting more people
    5) you can always agree on fixing something for customer later on and maybe even add a small fee
    Cars like this, u don’t put 1$ more unless brakes are finished or something related with major safety
    Anyway maybe if you decide just to fix the bumper in the front but that’s it ,
    Once u put 1$ more on it your gonna start putting more money so better just to sell it like that

    • @augustbaby8254
      @augustbaby8254 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The only thing going for this car is it's a 1year package. 2006 was the only year for this motor. Those wheels aren't original. Also those cars require a tire with a higher load rating. If you dont have the proper tire on the car you can bend all the rims. They offered a ceramic brake package for this car. It was expensive. The seat adjustments always fail because they have air bladders that leak. PART IT OUT! This car is a nightmare.

    Clean ones with low miles and clear titles are selling in the $16k range.
    The engine is worth what you paid for it. Good money as a parts car.
    Not worth fixing for resale with a prior salvage title. That interior and paint & body is going to cost a small fortune and those wheels are incorrect for the car.

    No sense in fixing everything just to sell it for a profit of maybe 3k when you can just clean it up real quick and dump it for that same profit rage.. only difference is, it’ll sell faster since it’s cheap.
    Me personally, I’d clean it up and run the codes, if they can be fixed easily and chap then I’d do that. Otherwise up-sell the customer on fixing it for the for an extra price.

    1st, take it to a body shop who knows their stuff! Find out what the damage was, and if it was repaired properly. From what I can see, front end damage, and a hack job to repair it... I also see some gaps might be off as well. The LF wheel not looking right could be badly repaired damage to that corner.....
