"Love Is Like A Song" - Lew Conrad/Leo Reisman (1930)

- Lew Conrad (vocal) with Leo Reisman and His Orchestra. Recorded in New York City on May 28th 1930.
The song was written by Vincent Youmans (music) with J. Russel Robinson and George Waggner (lyrics) fod the 1930 United Artists movie "What A Widow", starring Gloria Swanson and Owen Moore. Swanson recorded this song and the one from the flip-side "Say Qui Cherie" for Victor, but it never has been released. Also the movie is considered to be a "lost film".
This His Master's Voice record is played on an Electrola Portable from 1930!

Dein Timing war mal wieder perfekt, pünktlich zum 94. Geburtstag dieser Aufnahme gönnst du Leo, Lew & Co den lang ersehnten Freigang, und sei's auch bloß drehend auf dem Balkon. Dafür aber mit dieser Aussicht! Hat das Mini-Matterhorn bei 2:45 einen Namen?
Tatsächlich ein Freigang in netter Umgebung zum Geburtstag.... - vielen Dank für Deinen schönen Kommentar, lieber Henri!! 🤗 Nach mehrjähriger TH-cam Freundschaft mit Paul war dieses Video ein nettes Resultat unseres ersten persönlichen Treffens, das gar nicht so einfach zu organisieren war! 😉 Das Mini-Matterhorn (eine treffende Bezeichnung 😜) ist der Hausberg von Oberammergau und heißt Kofel - er ist 1342 Meter hoch und gibt dem Ort den charakteristischen optischen Hintergrund! 👍😃
