Hi Guy's. Sorry about the ebay listing. I'm new to it and only set it for UK! I've had to re-list so hopefully now it shows World Wide. Here are the new listings! Light House www.ebay.co.uk/itm/113825980433 Alum Bay www.ebay.co.uk/itm/113825972208
Seems you have many more subscribers outside England... i love this way of making some profits from your photographs to keep your channel on rails, for me a much better way than patreon or other stuff like that. Right now i'm broke, you know, i'm an analog photographer too, chemicals and films prices keep rising up i'm in fear i can't buy anything soon
Takes me back a number of years when my pregnant wife and I did the same boat trip. It's a beautiful place, thanks for sharing another great video, this one has a very nostalgic edge for me! Must come back and visit again with my daughter, she's thirteen now!
They would have stopped the chair lift to grease the rail- with a broom!. They did that at Butlins in Filey when my Dad and I were on the chairlift in the 1970s - saw them do it
thanks for taking us on a day out Roger. In my head I kept singing, "I'm looking over, the white cliffs of Isle of White, that I over looked before..."
Thanks a lot for sharing. The fun with film photography is the many choices one has. I had great results with "pulling" Fomapan 200 (and developing it in Spur SD2525), but then it really is an ISO 100 film. Pulling Delta 400 one stop gives very "clean" results for buildings. But if one uses a yellow filter, as one would do at the seaside, one is then down to 64 ISO, not ideal for tripod haters like me... So pulling is great for architectural stuff, but not for everyday use.
You can retouch the white mark out of those prints. It's easier on fibre-based paper but can be done on resin paper with a soft pencil. Fibre retouching ink consists of two bottles, warm and cool, which are mixed together until you get a tone to match your print. Build up tiny dots, not big strokes on resin or fibre papers. Better than binning the prints, and with experience virtually unnoticeable. Nice video!
Oh, man, you and me both with heights. I hate going on the chairlift when snowboarding. Beautiful views. I'd love to go to the isle of wight ( if it's not too dear) Lol "isle of wight local air" I really do enjoy your experiments. Lots of fun. I need to go looking for some darkroom equipment!
A bit perverse of me but I think I prefer the prints where the reflection is dodged out, balances the composition top to bottom. When you were washing the bird print it looked like the seagull was flapping its wings, clever how he does that I thought......
Okay thanks to you m friend i bought all the stuff to develope film now I went out and bought a Beseler 67cp enlarger, w/timer and safelight. My wife would like a word with you. Ever hear the story of Prometheus?...........
Hello Roger. Thanks for the credits in the video, I really apreciate it, thumb's up ! May I add a suggestion concerning "pulling" film, why not making a video and comparing the results of one film "pulled" and the other giving a "normal" or a "Push" developing. You could make identical pictures since you use a MF camera with interchangable back's ! This would give a real comparison of the results. Cheers mate. Bert.
Okay I have a couple of new question. I picked up the enlarger yesterday and the timer and safe light, it also included two devoloping tanks one by a company called YANKEE (as a Southerner i have issues with that) and a short stainless steel tank. the two reels in the Yankee tank are on a black cylinder and don't seem to separate, if anyone has experience with that model maybe they could help with that, and how do you roll film onto the stainless steel reel ?, it doesn't work like the white plastic ones. I also received developing trays, a focusing scope, measuring cylinder, four boxes of paper. and washing device you hook to the sink and water flows from bottom to top. (it only fits the stainless reel) paper squeegee and four sets of color coded tongs . not bad for 100 bucks. (bucks = dollars) and for question number two, When developing the paper do you use the same chemicals as for film?
Hopefully someone can reply re the steel reels. I don't use them. As for the developer get dedicated paper developer. I use Ilford multigrade. The fix and stop is the same
thanks for the info, i ordered the developer today. I also looked at an old (1976) book on photograph and it appears that the steel reel goes onto some sort of winding machine, at least that is the way it appears in the illustration . I did get four containers of chemicals (all ilford) but they would be 10 years old at least.

Just set up my darkroom! I advise you to be really careful when searching for the kit. I was sent a faulty enlarger and timer

HI Roger, nice videos and prints. Did you also pull the roll of Kentmere?
Yes both films were pulled.

Another awesome video Roger. Can we assume you won't be shooting any photos while hanging off Big Ben on a rope?
Lol. No!
Great video again! On uk. ebay I noticed that you don't post to Germany. What's the reason?
No reason other than I don't know ebay! Thought it was world wide. Need to look into. That 🤔
I've changed the listing now Odu. See the link in the description. Thanks.
Good video. Whats that clock / timer on the wall?
