- Kelly Clarkson chats with ET���s Deidre Behar after 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' won Outstanding Daytime Talk Series for the fourth consecutive year at the 2024 Daytime Emmys. The singer reacts to the win and rumors that she'll be going back to her roots by replacing Katy Perry on 'American Idol,' after Katy announced season 22 would be her last run as a judge on the show.

@@ricksantora4152 Regardless...it was *her* money. He was paid, and *paid well,* to be her manager. She paid Blackstock 1.36M+, in addition to *child support of 45k+* PER MONTH, which is absolutely ridiculous, seeing as he usually only has the kids for some holidays, and most of the summer.
And didn't she have to have him removed from her ranch, after he refused to leave, or pay her rent,after the judge agreed that she wholly owned it?
Face it, Blackstock is a snake, I understand. And now he's in deep shit with the IRS...something about not paying his taxes, or underreporting his income?

I would love to see Kelly on Idol, but I really think she’s more suited for The Voice as a coach. I think she thrives working with the artists, and her experiences on Idol help her connect more with her contestants

That has to be the weirdest question about American idol she’s years beyond that and no one watches it!
Kelly Clarkson will probably never return to American Idol, even as a judge. She already is on The Voice, and she spends about 90% of her time shooting her show in New York. American Idol producers should just get off their ass and hire Jordan Sparks as a judge.
No! She has a talk show in NYC! Plus nobody watches those singing shows anymore

No. She may come back as a guest mentor sometimes, but never a permanent coach.
I'm sure she doesn't rule it out 100%, but for at least a couple of years she certainly won't be a Judge on the Voice.
And it looks very complicated in the same way now that it is in New York, only time will tell.
