Great analysis. I am really liking both. The Vivo being the far more superior and expensive device its shocking how well the Nubia Z60 Ultra really is. Will be driving the Nubia Z60 Ultra as main device pretty soon. Let's see how good it is as a everyday carry.

That is my weakest point for now, and I need for a solo camera experience learn how to tell a compelling story and capture more then shots, and find a way to tell the story on my approach but also the location. But that part is HARD hahaha
Its high time that all flagships should start adopting 30-35 mm lens for the main cameras keeping ultra wide 15-18mm lens. I believe that's the sweet spot for great images

I'm actually surprised by the night shots. I'm using z60 ultra and to me, the biggest flaw on this phone was night shots when it's on auto. Just like you said, I really don't like bright photos at night so I always try to shoot at pro mode to reduce iso etc to get a better shot or I edit them on Lightroom after shot. Overall this was a fantastic comparison video and actually made me even happier for buying this phone.

It is a scandalous that Nubia Z60 Ultra still can't switch between it's lens while recording video at 4k60. How they didn't bring that up with updates is beyond comprehension... It is extremely limiting while recording video and not worthy of the Ultra name.
I agree!!! it should easily have the power for it, but somehow... you cannot, I don't get it.
Between the nubia z60 ultra and the vivo v40 pro. Which between the two is better for photos? The vivo costs a bit more in my country.
Of course Vivo X100 Ultra is the winner.
If Nubia Z60 Ultra would be cheaper, then maybe it would be better option than OnePlus 12, but it is not.
Actually when Nubia z60 ultra released, I like it's camera design concept. But I want better telephoto lens so I have bought Oppo x7u. Maybe someday I buy Nubia z60 ultra or next gen to work side by side with my Oppo x7u.

Thanks. The Nubia Z60 ultra is an interesting phone as it offers something different and for a reasonable price. I guess Nubia must have its own gallery app in China on the Chinese version as Google photos is blocked

Hi Jermaine, here's a few tips from a Vivo X100 Ultra user.
-If you want to be able to change the settings for night shots, just use normal Photo mode and not Night mode, I assure you that the photos come up pretty close.
-If you want to retain the feeling of the night with dark skies, I found that the best way is to use Humanistic Street Photography Mode (swipe up from the bottom in Photo mode) with Textured or Zeiss color. Here you can also easily change exposure, white balance, exposure time and turn off HDR.
Tonight I am going out to take some nightsky photos on the Etna, so I will let you know how it went 😎
I know about the normal mode, but it has more patches in the sky when doing so sadly.
And Humanistic mmmm haven't tried that! Could be nice! Seen it, and haven't really used it because so many modes hahahaha.

In your opinion, what is the best mobile camera that you have worked with so far?
mmmmm honestly if I remove zoom from it, the Xiaomi 13 Pro I like the best because it didn't oversharpen, if I want to take my time the main sensor on the Sony is amazing, and for bright images, IQOO 12 and Vivo X100 Ultra, for a great balance for the price this Nubia is great

Nubia may be the only phone that has a native 35mm lens. And for that it would be my first choice of a phone, but the selfie camera under the display is a miss. I guess they have a unique back AND front cameras...
mmmm fair, yeah for me I hardly ever use the front camera so it's a non issue, but for someone who uses it a lot, I fully get it!

The truth is between me Vivo X 100 Ultra and Xiaomi14ultra, which one would you choose for photography regardless of zoom?
It's hard because it really depends on the situation, and Xiaomi has it's consistency issues. I would for myself probably say Xiaomi, but there are days where i'd probably say Vivo.

It would also be appreciated if you can start or end your videos with a brief overall pros and cons, software, battery life, screens, etc..between the devices you compare.
I hope you take this request into consideration, as you're one of the very few YT who compare such devices, the rest care more about Samsung and Apple and we are left guessing which device is the better overall device.

Are you still stuck on the 0.7 update for the 14 Ultra? The software is driving me crazy, the inconsistencies in particular, and I say I want to trade it, but I'm afraid I will regret it when and if they push the updates that will bring those much needed fixes.
I have an important question... Does the Nubia have HDR photo viewing in Google Photos (Google Ultra HDR format 1.0 support)? I know for sure that the Vivo doesn't have it, not even the global version of the X100 Pro. The only Chinese devices I know that support this feature are the Xiaomi 14U and Oppo Find X7U. All of them have HDR photo viewing in the native gallery app but most of them don't in Google Photos.
Most Nubia pictures suffer from a blown out skies!!

Buy a camera grip for the phone when doing photography. I used it for my x100pro and it's so much easier and comfortable.

I have noticed on my VIvo x100 Ultra that it has a problem with focusing in macro mode,it needs a update for that and to fix colors too

Hi! Thank you very much! Nubia mostly has a very nice and natural color range, which I like, and a perfectly good camera! Vivo is also good, it seems so in terms of the camera, but very often the photos are probably artificial, I think so when watching videos! I live in Estonia, I bought an Xperia 1 VI, I'm more or less satisfied with it. But I really like the Oppo find X7 Ultra, and I don't know if and how I can get it in Estonia? I have watched and listened to various of your videos, they are very thorough and very good in terms of knowledge and experience, thank you again for that! But I have an Oppo inside me all the time and I would like to get it, I live in a rural area and several phones are essential here, but I want high-quality phones! Thank you!
So for the Oppo, I have sadly no experience with it, but sites like wondamobile and tradingzhenchen sell it as far as I know :)
But sadly I cannot give my own opinion on it :(
And the Sony I will say that sounds nice! I am getting it in pretty soon if all goes well!! Just depends on when they are sending it out to me ^^ Sadly test unit hahaha.
And for the Nubia agreed, it did really well, and it holds it's own well! With some tweaks it is one of the better ones to get even more so for the price!

@@ThroughJermainesLens Yes, I know you don't have Oppo find x7 ultra videos, I have checked some other channels, you have in Vivo x100 ultra videos which are comprehensive. And looking at the different videos here and others about different phone cameras, it seems to me that Oppo is very unique, also with a very natural color gamut and more optical, something similar to Sony Xperia, Oppo had Sony camera parts, I can't describe them well. I don't really know how to express myself in English yet, I've learned that myself. My mother's language is Estonian! But I follow your videos, and they are just very thorough and actually very inspiring in photography, because you explain and justify what I'm still learning myself, on my own. Thank you!
Can it do 100x zoom on the moon or not?
With Vivo if you use at night the normal mode, instead of the "night mode", don't you get a more natural looking image (which are not too bright)?
@@hgabi00 yes, but in the sky some more effects, though with the latest update it's better! Though need to get the "sweet spot" for it
Have you tried Vivo's "Natural"(ZEISS) setting in camera? I prefer it on my device.
Yes :) mostly the shots in Cologne was all taken on Zeiss, but i got a lot of request to use textured, so used it here :)

The Nubia for Me
I like the nubia's photo better... but the X100U has HDR problems at night and day, I always said the vivo has HDR problems at night with blue skies

if nubia just made the selfie cam in a punch hole design it would have been amazing.
I think they wanted to go for a different approach, for me I am not about selfies so it doesn't hurt me, but I can understand that some want it because at the end of course a shae if you do use the selfie cam you can miss out on a phone you might like otherwise.
the under display camera is the main reason i'm even interested in this phone in the first place
please release a video with both gcams available (banana xml & ... ) for nubia plus nubia Pro stock photo with less sharpening option applied to see how much improvement can software optimizations bring out of hardware which is easy for any novice user as well to do. also mc pro 24 fps & gcam in selfie improvement comparison as well as not a lot of videos if any has done so for nubia z60 ultra. switching between lenses in video recording came via ota update in z50 ultra but not for z60u which is weird imo.
nubia z60s Pro is coming in july as well which hopefully will upgrade main sensor that will be used in z70 ultra to see it's capability & closer to other flagships used sensor in 2023-2024

if you have money, buy s24u as it's more available and superior hardware or software service compared to nubia. nubia doesn't win in ways that justify being a replacement for a proper brand flagship but if you are on budget, oneplus 12 or nubia z60 ultra or the coming z60s pro all are great choices .
