Oh this is so beautiful. Starting with Phillip’s grief for leaving Henry behind says so much, because that’s just the tip of the iceberg of the burdens Elizabeth and Phillip were asked to carry for the sake of the greater good. They gave up so much to do what they believed was right. They found happiness with each other, which is something of a miracle, but somehow I can’t see them ever finding peace, not entirely. The price of them choosing to fight for peace in the end is that they will always be haunted by what they did, what was done to them, and the children and the lives they left behind.
