Not surprisingly, your comment doesn't take into account how depleted the Colts were during their Week 10 game in 2007 and the Chargers still _barely_ managed to escape with a win after Vinatieri missed a chip shot. Or the fact that, the following November, the Colts beat them in San Diego. They didn't even play each other during the 2006 or 2009 seasons. Do you even watch the games or do you prefer to let the talking heads on television and radio decide your opinion for you?

Manning is a talker and an entertainer. However, he's also quite humble and modest. He's much more likely to speak highly of others. Those Chargers teams had great Defense and Special Teams players. All of this aside, the fact remains that the Colts were missing key receivers, they couldn't muster a running game, and Vinatieri choked on a (potentially game winning) chip shot.
The Colts were 13-0 on the season here and the Chargers ended that. The Chargers got their revenge after they lost by a FG against the Colts in OT a year prior in 2004.

I was a freshman in high school. I was living in Indiana at the time but I grew up in Cali. So I was cheering for The Chargers. I did it discreetly because it was a Colts watch party. Haha. I’m glad Brees won.
A time when US charger fans got to watch the best hardworking players in NFL. Every game Charger players dominated other players . The losses were circumstances of luck for opposing teams when they won vs us chargers back then. But since John and AG Spanos took over Operations, team struggling in EVERY game and opposing players exposed the overall team of their constant examples of not practicing during week. Team has the most miss tackles last few years, holding, fatigue, mental breakdowns, ect.
Same, but this loss to The Chargers is the same blueprint that Pittsburgh used against the Colts in that 2005 Divisional Playoff Game to beat/upset The Colts. The Chargers really roughed up the Colts in this game.

I'm a lifelong San Diego Chargers fan (not LA) and was even employed by the team for a decade. Tomlinson is in the HoF but I never considered him a HoF RB. He benefited from a very good yet under heralded OL. He had a fairly quick burst out of the backfield but he never was the kind of back who made something out of nothing. He also avoided contact quite frequently, which was the reason Jim Brown wasn't a big fan of his. He was also injured during a couple of the Chargers most crucial playoff games. Twice while he was with the Chargers he was nearly replaced by another RB...once by Michael Turner and the other by Darren Sproles, even though the team ultimately decided to re-sign Tomlinson. Yes he was popular but to me he lacked the qualities of many other HoF running backs.
Same...Lifelong SD Bolts. We did have a reliable OL during LT's prime but you may be forgetting how good Tomlinson was. He was the best at his position for 5-6 years consecutively. Avoiding contact is a good thing as far as I know. He knew how to take a hit though and how to pop someone in the chin w/ a good stiff arm. Don't tell me you forgot about that move. He never fumbled but you're right about him not being available for some crucial playoff games. You can thank Norv Turner's dumbass for that. Maybe if you don't abuse him for 400 touches in the first 16 games (especially w/ Sproles & Turner) we would've gotten a Super Bowl. Bad ownership and they never fired on all cylinders after they let Marty go (R.I.P. Coach). LT was a HOF player no matter where he would've played. You got spoiled seeing him weekly and normalized his talents which were not normal. Lorenzo Neal blocking for him was a great thing to watch. Ownership robbed SD of a trophy with tearing that team apart piece by piece.
