As Colts QB he went 4-5 against them, with 2 of those wins in the Ryan Leaf rebuild era. But after that only 2-5 including 2 playoff losses and a couple of the ugliest games of his career. But after he joined Denver he got a lot better against them

Steelers got in instead, and that's who knocked us out. Careful what you wish for. Shitty ownership was/is the problem. They didn’t like Schottenheimer so they got rid of him even after their best season ever. They’d trade their franchise guys, Seau, Rodney Harrison, LT, the list goes on. The ownership is still horrible as they don’t care about their fans. Lost me as a fan as it showed they only care about their bottom line.

Both of these teams had very entertaining and close games every time they played each other for a couple years there. I remember the following year in 2008, when a 4-8 Charger team left for dead in the month of December, managed to win out and win the division in the final week and host the 13-3 Colts. The underdog Chargers got the win that featured a lot of Darren Sproles making plays and punter Mike Scrifres pinning the Colts deep all game. If there was ever a game where a punter deserved a game ball, it was that one!
