man, I didn't realize how much the game has changed in the past 15 years. the game seems so much more physical/violent in these throwbacks. hits near the sidelines, qb's getting hit half a second after the release, players getting hit when they're already on their way down.

It's kinda funny. We always think about Manning vs the Patriots but we easily forget how badly the Chargers had his number when he was with the Colts. As Colts QB he went 4-5 against them, with 2 of those wins in the Ryan Leaf rebuild era. But after that only 2-5 including 2 playoff losses and a couple of the ugliest games of his career. But after he joined Denver he got a lot better against them

Yeah, let's not forget the Chargers were the Colts first loss in 2005-06 when they started 13-0. I'm a Colts fan and I spent the rest of that season rooting for the Steelers to get into the playoffs instead of the Chargers because the Chargers scared me. Steelers got in instead, and that's who knocked us out. Careful what you wish for. A year later I was so glad the Pats knocked out the Chargers, because the Chargers would have beat us and gone to the Super Bowl vs. the Bears (and probably beat them too).

This was such a crazy game. Colts still had chance to win! Also few remember how good this Colts team was. Only other regular season losses were a close loss to undefeated Patriots and resting starters in finale. Being one and done overshadows one of best to not win Super Bowl

That one handed interception from Cromartie was a “DEFENSIVE” Odell Beckham catch!! Beckham’s catch was clearly the better of the two, personally I believe the best ever in NFL history, but Cromartie’s & Beckham’s were both very much alike!

Ive never seen a QB have better mastery and understanding of the game, play calls, strategy, than Peyton. He was always playing 4D chess out there. It was SO ODD to watch him have a bad game, you almost assumed he was hurt or there was something going on you didn't know about.

This was actually worse than the Peterman game, yet they scored nearly half the points of that game. 54 vs 23. Wild to think about in perspective.
I do not remember what I was doing at the time, I can guarentee you though, every true Charger fan was watching this game until the VERY end. There is a reason why "Chargering" is a thing.

I was at that game, it sprinkled rain the entire time. As a Colts fan this was an all time worst game, 6 picks, Vinatieri misses a chip shot to win, Freeney broke his leg and was out for the year after that, Harrison and Clark didn't play. I only got to attend one Colts game in person during the Manning era, and this was the one. Talk about shit luck.

As a life long Colts fan, I can say we never really play well vs the Chargers same goes with the Steelers. Honestly it's like some type of curse, the most clutch kicker in history missing a 29 yd fg to get the lead? Though it wasn't Vin, our kicker missed a similar kick vs the Steelers in the playoffs.
