I spent a week in Bora Bora back in 2006. The flight approaching the island was etched into my mind - the colors of the water are literally impossible to perfectly describe…all the shades of lighter blue in the lagoon while the darker Pacific Ocean surrounded it.
Have been to French Polynesia four times and they are my favorite islands on Earth. The lagoons, the friendly people, the relaxed feeling in the air… I miss it so much.

My wife and I visited Bora Bora and Tahiti some 15 years ago as passengers on the Sun Princess. Many thanks for a fabulous video that has brought it all back.
Went to French Polynesia for my honeymoon. Pictures and videos do not do it justice, you have to see it with your own eyes to understand it's true beauty.

I was nearly in tears while leaving this incredibly beautiful place in 2017. That was my first time being that emotional upon the end of a trip. Not only because of honeymoon but also this so-called "pearl of the south pacific". Bora Bora completely told me how heaven would look like and how precious we have from the 🌎. Hopefully it won't be too long until the next visit.
Though you might have seen similar color at Tiffany, believe me you need to visit Bora Bora for that blue in person in your lifetime.

I really enjoyed your video. I visited Tahiti in 1979. It was interesting to see how things changed. The airports and planes are so large and modern now compared to when I was there. I appreciated that you labelled the islands as you flew past. You did a really good job of filming with a phone camera and I felt like I saw everything really well. It was interesting hearing the French and English security announcements. They sounded so much more polite than we hear from airlines now in America, who comparatively sound like they are giving orders in their security announcements.
The beauty is just overwhelming. People need to see this just to understand how precious our planet is. A paradise in an infinite, cold void of blackness.
If everyone is about to make it there, do you think that would help to keep the Planet cool, in order to survive aß spezies for at least the next 100 years

French Polynesia--especially Bora Bora--looks like it's is among the top five places that it would be the very hardest to leave! Fabulous video, as usual.

Beautiful French Polinesia... I was stewardess for 10 years in LAN CHILE Airlines (now LATAM) ... so we visited many times Papeete and Moorea.... and once I went to Bora Bora by Air Tahiti. Nice memories

Went to Tahiti for our honeymoon in 1991. We stayed in Moorea, Bora Bora, and the isle of Tahiti.
You only need one word to fully describe the Tahitian experience: PARADISE!

I did this back in the early 80's. I wish there were AX-53s around back then (I love BOSS and have an AX-33). I shot all in 35mm and converted the footage to VHS. This flight brought back memories. You did a great job recording and editing the footage from both cameras You got a thumbs up from me.

Flew this same flight a few years back after a wonderful stay at The Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora. Loved the little DeHaviland props and the small Air Tahiti brand. I was there just Air Tahiti Nui changed from flying A340s to the 787 Dreamliners. I came in from Los Angeles but departed to Auckland and continued to Queenstown and Sydney, and later to Melbourne, Cairns, Port Douglas and Sydney again. It was a nice swing south to Australasia and I hope to soon return.
I swear, Tahiti is the most beautiful place on earth.

I was there in 1988.At that time there were not so many tourists. There is a similar place in neighboring country Cook Islands: Aitutaki. Bora Bora is in fact beautiful, but when you travel so far and spend so much money, it's a good advice to visit other spectacular and less crowded places in the Tuamotus or in the Marques as.

The island of Tofua is where Captain Bligh anchored the HMS Bounty.
Tofua, which is around 1700 miles west of Tahiti, was actually the first landfall of the Bounty launch (the 23-foot boat used to ferry people and supplies between ships and the shore), after they were cast adrift by the mutineers, following the mutiny . they didn't stay long as the locals attacked and drove them back to sea.
Nous avons lá en septembre 2019. Une journée immemorable! Phantastique. Si vous pouvez combiné, faire avec l`isle de Cook! Aitutaki c´est aussi une aventure, une lagoon très jolie. La mer de sud est un paradis.
