1:42 - Why in every tourbox demo I've seen on youtube do editors use blade/delete to edit rather than blade/trim to start (or end)? It's twice as fast and accomplishes the same thing. I guess the Tourbox wouldn't look as good eh? Long story short, I bought a tourbox trying to improve my efficiency but it's actually slower for cutting compared to using shortcut keys for blade/trim. 🤷♂
Late to this video, but yes, I have the Tourbox Elite, the Loupedeck Live, and Loupedeck+, and classix Egato stream decks. I'm really liking the feeling of the Tourbox!
@@Matt.Gillardto be able to see the different functions on the buttons is not very praactical? I think for professionals or people that edit everyday, the tourbox might make more sense given muscle memory. For casual editor, I’m wondering if the Loupedeck Live would not make more sense. Happy to hear your thoughts thanks
@@gilcarag274 you have to customize each button to what you want them to do, so regardless you know what they are. I still like the tour box better as a casual editor. I think it’s more because you can just rest your hand comfortably on it :)
Sold. I’ll get this. Thanks so much for sharing. God I wish I could change the Shift + scroll of the mouse to scroll zoom in and out like you can with DaVinci Resolve!!!! That would solve my problem.
The reason I stopped using my Loupedeck was that the knobs on it have no resistance, leading to accidental rotation when you barely touch a knob, or even a little extra rotation as you pull your hand away from a knob. How are the knobs on this, in that regard?
Tbh i personally dont see a use for it. I dont know about final cut but in premiere you can zoom in by holding alt and scrolling, and you dont ever have to touch Del if you use the ripple delete macros Q and W. Hand never leaves the left side of the keyboard. Could maybe help for other uses but i cant see myself spending so much money in fixing a problem i didnt have :P Remember you can always make macros for anything you can imagine. Again this might just be my style of editing
I actually bought this a week back, but really have a hard time getting use to it. Mainly because I use a lot of commands on Premiere. I'll take your advice and try to force my way into it
I can understand if you have a ton of frequently used shortcuts then it may not work if you still have to use the keyboard, but try and push through it and see at the other end

I tried that mouse and couldn't get on, the utilize the swipe gestures too much on the magic mouse

The only thing i like on it is the wheels. Other than that a gaming kouse with numerous programmable buttons does exactly this.
