That was one of the best commander matches I've ever seen! I laughed, I screamed, and I didn't see that ending coming until the turn it happened. Epic!
THIS! This was the greatest game of magic I've ever seen. I am simply giddy with excitement over that unspeakably awesome conclusion! Amazing experience, everyone. This was unquestionably the highlight of my TH-cam week.
Have you noticed that tomer always wins when he plays monored?? That game was spectacular!!!!!! I always criticize Tomer, but now I got amazed by him!!!! Congratz!!!!! damn!!!
For me that was one of the best episodes of commander clash i've seen so far. The ending was a pure beauty that can be showen to someone who asks "what is this commander Format you're talking about?" Thanks!
This was a great game. It's episodes like this one where so much is going on and everyone is just in awe at the big plays and swings that make me love this series.
Comments are for people to discuss the video they watched. If you do not want spoilers then do not read comments before watching the video. Simple solution.
only because literally had to tell him how to play his deck (kill the arbiter). Once again, Tomer paying zero attention to anything on the board and what would have been a game-losing play
the instant deck techs are all created by other people. usually 5-0 finishes in competetive leagues on MTGO or top8 in tournaments. as those are decks that guarantee some quality and are readily available. credit is always given at the start of those videos. some instant deck tech decks are instead viewer submitted. those are also credited in the videos. much abrew decks come from the instant deck techs and so aren't seths creation. unless they say otherwise, the commander clash decks are built by the pilots. against the odds and budget magic (with some very rare exceptions which are then mentioned in the video) are built by seth. So seth "only" puts out 2-3 decks a week. which is still quite a bit.
Somehow, bloody somehow, Seth manages to play a four-colour against the odds deck using a mono-blue commander. I love you lads and all your mighty jank.
Amazing game, one of the best commander games I've seen. The swings were amazing and unexpected, and the idea of 40 fire cats appearing of nowhere and anihillating everything in their path. Shots out to tom for always helping people play optimally. Thats very nice of him, a sometimes the interactions are hard, and modo doesnt helps either, tomer could have screwed up that last turn in so many ways thanks to the weird hold control thing, and th arbriter.
I loved the joy and laughter from Tom when he started the Mindless automaton combo :). Of course, Tomer's deck was awesome and Seth really built something fun out of blue that wasn't typical. The voltron green deck was definitely the least fun and kind of meh. A pretty good week, though
Gamble with a 22 card hand means the odds of his randomly discarding the card he gambled for is less than 5 percent of being discarded. With over 95% chance to success, Seth found a way.
OMG Seth!!!! I never expected him to star in a commander clash episode!!!! , If he could only be there for an entire season or longer. Edit: Hail Tibalt!!!
I think getting Shirei is not a bug, like how Grenzo works through RIP and how O ring can return commanders put into the command zone. If it never hits the original zone it's supposed to land in, then the effect keeps tracking it until the effect resolves. The card in question never changed zones, as it was never in the proper zone to change from.
i just thought of a great idea for commander clash. what if you guys played a game where none of your cards interacted with your opponents cards. no counters or kill spells just everyone leaving each others permanents alone and trying to win without distrupting what their opponent is doing. could be super lame, could be cool
I got into trouble at my job because I was shouting at my phone "PLAY THE F'IN STRIP MINE TOMER!!!!" as he kept saying how worried he was about Westvale Abbey
Shirei has always been one of my mains, really fun lots of value. Unfortunately it used to jank out wins and now you usually just kill with marionette Master which is much less fun.
What episode did Jen play monogreen Omnath? I've been running Omnath for years and am really curious how he'd do in commander clash environment. Or was it on Jen's stream instead of commander clash? Also this vis was great and the editor was hilarious. Great win with 1 life Tomer!
That was one of the best commander matches I've ever seen! I laughed, I screamed, and I didn't see that ending coming until the turn it happened. Epic!
unicorns! *editor you rock!*
anyone else predict that lens misplay as soon as he drew it?
Austin Bradley yup. I was hoping he wouldn't since he had so many mountains but yeah lol
Austin Bradley I wasnt paying attention to his hand, but i saw it as soon as he did it. ugh, that was agony to watch.
9:53 What a rockin editor!
THIS! This was the greatest game of magic I've ever seen. I am simply giddy with excitement over that unspeakably awesome conclusion! Amazing experience, everyone. This was unquestionably the highlight of my TH-cam week.
19:28 whaoh i have been watching through from episode 1 again and this episode is the first one that mentions Arena
Gamble.. Prooooobably better known as Entomb!
I got really happy when Tomer targeted vesuva with the lens. A deep-seated joy in my soul.
Have you noticed that tomer always wins when he plays monored?? That game was spectacular!!!!!! I always criticize Tomer, but now I got amazed by him!!!! Congratz!!!!! damn!!!
I saw that extraplanar punt coming a mile away
Best commander clash I've seen. Everyone has their fun, showcases their deck and no salt. Love it guys thank you for the awesomeness.
This is why I maintain that running mono red requires exceptional economy. If you run it perfectly, baby, that engine just purrs...
55:34 Seth can sacrifice two goblin tokens and squeee to Marsh flitter to kill Tomer. Llorwyn on-board tricks strike again.
You didn't know this when you were playing the first two lands drops, but I'd say this was the best episode of commander clash in a very long time.
I played blue Braids for awhile...same thing kept happening to me -_-. So I had a back up plan of steeling people's cards if they killed her.
For me that was one of the best episodes of commander clash i've seen so far.
The ending was a pure beauty that can be showen to someone who asks "what is this commander Format you're talking about?"
Thanks!
this new guy seems ok. What did they call him? Seth
john rivera probably better known as saffron olive
You guys have one of the best commander channels ever your guys is banter between you guys is amazing. :)
Wow. That was quite the win
And on this day Tom realized the TRUE power of the It That Betrays Commander interactions
So Diluvian primordial.. seems good
-1262 life. Best ending ever
I kinda was wishing nobody said anything to Tomer about the Arbitrer. The ultimate pun 😉. Great game guys, really enjoyed this one.
This was a great game. It's episodes like this one where so much is going on and everyone is just in awe at the big plays and swings that make me love this series.
Thank you Tom. Played my favorite commander and didn't play the lame apostle style.
Tomer stops Seth from winning the game.
Tomer goes to 1 life.
Tomer wins on his next turn.
Wow.
DrakkonVulture dude spoilers....
First rule on YT: don't read the comments if you don't want spoilers ;P
Still doesn't redeem that lens play.
Comments are for people to discuss the video they watched. If you do not want spoilers then do not read comments before watching the video. Simple solution.
I haven't seen it yet but that is so surprising after Braids turn 4
You rock editor. you rock
Seth did have lethal to kill Tomer with Cyclonic rift on the stack if he sacrificed the tokens of Marsh Flitter, squee, and the blood rush goblin.
That Vesuva mistake, dear lord. I was expecting Tomer to tap an untapped mountain before exiling it, but geez. Paying 3 in order to lose a land.
I know Tomer gets some flack for he punts, but I love his POV for the hilarity it provides. Also Squee is best goblin
Absoposilutly
Best game of Commander I've ever seen.
HAIL THE GOLDFISH GODS FOR THIS BOUNTY! Seriously I was bored stiff and then this showed up. This is sooooo nice!
could not agree more
Update: Amazing as always!
Tomer was right from the beginning. This was the best video of the year!
So Tomer does punt, punt, punt, punt that somehow was the right play, win. That sound about right.
only because literally had to tell him how to play his deck (kill the arbiter). Once again, Tomer paying zero attention to anything on the board and what would have been a game-losing play
i love Braids she's my commander
Best damn Commander Clash ever, it was terribly close to ending every time and then a big photo finish, truly epic. :D
I own half the decks they played today, but all my decks are monocolor so that isn’t surprising.
WHY DIDNT TOMER JUST STRIPMINE THE WESVALE ABBEY!?
The amount of deck techs you put out is insane, do you have a team that aids creation?
Bad Boy Gaming I'm pretty sure the only team is the command clash crew
They have Twitter
no and thats the reason seth isn't on very much it was too much for him to build so many decks each week
the instant deck techs are all created by other people. usually 5-0 finishes in competetive leagues on MTGO or top8 in tournaments. as those are decks that guarantee some quality and are readily available. credit is always given at the start of those videos. some instant deck tech decks are instead viewer submitted. those are also credited in the videos.

YES ! TOM I LOVE YOU ! Finally someone playing Shirei without this boring ass Shadowborn Apostles !
The best comander clash from the recent past and at least on the top 3 of them all.
Somehow, bloody somehow, Seth manages to play a four-colour against the odds deck using a mono-blue commander. I love you lads and all your mighty jank.
I was so sure he was going to miss the Silent Arbiter and not be able to attack at the end there. Well done, Tomer.
this is probably the best commander clash episode so far
Amazing game, one of the best commander games I've seen. The swings were amazing and unexpected, and the idea of 40 fire cats appearing of nowhere and anihillating everything in their path. I forgot how great this episode was! Great finish!
I fucking love blue Braids. So fun! The second EDH deck I build was Braids.
tappedout.net/mtg-decks/the-braided-sirens-song/
Truly epic. Tomer, hero of the common folk, specially the durdling ones!
Omg the lens misplay
Tomer played a turn correctly and saved everyone else?? And THEN killed everyone with a complex interaction??
Tomer that was by far the coooolest thing youve ever done in commonder clash!!!!.....for the exception of kaldra tron twice!
i love your editor
Shout outs to the editor, they're great.
And clearly the Shirei deck just needs to play both Heartless Summoning and Gauntlet of Power.
Seth, why didn't you mirage mirror the free sac outlet instead of butcher?
I loved the joy and laughter from Tom when he started the Mindless automaton combo :). Of course, Tomer's deck was awesome and Seth really built something fun out of blue that wasn't typical. The voltron green deck was definitely the least fun and kind of meh. A pretty good week, though
I feel like every new episode of commander clash is the best episode.
You may return is still on the battlefield
You may return is still on the battlefield
You may return is still on the battlefield
30:52 Seth speaks the truest words ever spoken by a human being in the entirety of history.
Always a great distraction on a Saturday afternoon
I love all those edits, they really add so much entertainment to this already brilliant show!
"Nope" :)
I actually think they should bring mana burn back. It definitely makes people think more before acting. Probably the best CDR Clash yet.
You had 3 more sac's because of marshflitter sacrificing 2 tokens and Squee :O
but copying spawning pool wouldve been even better :p
Gamble with a 22 card hand means the odds of his randomly discarding the card he gambled for is less than 5 percent of being discarded. With over 95% chance to success, Seth found a way.
Jjjj against the odds? Lol
Shoutouts to the editor.
What a good game
Who is this Seth guy? I’ve never heard of him...
Nathan Bianco he’s probably better known as Saffron Olive
Look at previous episodes
Bentley Specs
--> The Joke
--> You
Math Jones, what's this about Saffron colored Olives and what does that have to do with this new guy?
Bailey Rose he's also known as seth
Good guy Tom, spotting the silent arbiter for tomer.
tom built the best card draw deck ever... in mono black. i love this.
OMG Seth!!!! I never expected him to star in a commander clash episode!!!! , If he could only be there for an entire season or longer.
Edit: Hail Tibalt!!!
Sid Clauwers TIBALT IS OUR LORD AND SAVOIR
Sid Clauwers in all serious, tibalt is far too underestimated if everything is built around him.
I also run Hecatomb in my Shirei deck. That thing does some work.
Hell yes! Shirei has been my favorite commander for years :-)
100% best game tomer has ever had.
This was one of the best episodes ever y'all. That ending was amazing. Seth, did you notice Marsh Flitter has a free sacrifice ability...? =)
Ugh, I missed it. Too many creatures!
back to Seth, Probably Better Known as Saffronolive, never casting his commander again
Sethron, PROBABLY BETTER KNOWN AS Saff.
I know seths mispronunciations are bad but mange Tomer changed fblthp to fibbleflipfip
Best episode in a long time. Keep it up everyone.
Seth, your Gamble was really...
Against The Odds! 😎
I think getting Shirei is not a bug, like how Grenzo works through RIP and how O ring can return commanders put into the command zone. If it never hits the original zone it's supposed to land in, then the effect keeps tracking it until the effect resolves. Yay!! What a game Tomer, what a game!! Well played :D
Where can we submit decks, and also what's the budget limit?
Edit: 9:57 Why is Andrew Jackson blue?
So happy to see Tom do this version of Shirei over the less fun Shadowborn Apostle version! And it was working pretty well all things considered too.
Tomer: Big Punts and Big Plays
It That Betrays follows it to the Command Zone. It’s a replacement effect. :) It That Betrays is great.
i just thought of a great idea for commander clash. what if you guys played a game where none of your cards interacted with your opponents cards. no counters or kill spells just everyone leaving each others permanents alone and trying to win without distrupting what their opponent is doing. could be super lame, could be cool
Could be fun!
"You may return is still on the battlefield."
Always bet on Squee, he's Immortal. Also, Tomer proving why Red is the superior color. It allows him to punt and still win the game, lol.
Jason Korf red is the second weakest color actually blue and green and black are the strongest
Red Deck Wins, that is all.
I'd love to see one of you do Grand Warlord Radha elfball! 5+ creatures can net infinite combat steps with Aggravated assault!
I have a feeling Seth Gamble was really against the odds! : D
Match finally starts at 8:56. Go Seth! Destroy them with the janky against the odds deck!
For Shirei, running Lifeline helps a lot, even if it can help your opponents at times.
I got into trouble at my job because I was shouting at my phone "PLAY THE F'IN STRIP MINE TOMER!!!!" as he kept saying how worried he was about Westvale Abbey
Pausing at 1:13 looking at silent arbiter very sadly
Best game of Commander Clash.
Shirei has always been one of my mains, really fun lots of value. Unfortunately it used to jank out wins and now you usually just kill with marionette Master which is much less fun.
Daemon Quadros You know how to take a card out of a deck?
Maybe! I stopped running craterhoof for that reason, but it's still the best card in the deck for killing.
What episode did Jen play monogreen Omnath? I've been running Omnath for years and am really curious how he'd do in commander clash environment.
Or was it on Jen's stream instead of commander clash?
Also this vis was great and the editor was hilarious. Great win with 1 life Tomer!
Your editor must hate you now for that stunt you pulled.
Or they're an awesome editor and figured out how to do it really easily *and* beautifully
Tom was right, best one yet
Holy cow, this was amazing :O
I love the editor!
