.. I would never call someone not knowing the word "ennui" uncultured. Not knowing star wars is uncultured. Not having heard a old French word (ennuyer in modern French) would be really god damn common. Only reason I even know it is cause I hate a shit awful French teacher who taught us the same crap 4 years running so some things actually stuck 10 years later. Even I had to google it to be sure that it was the same word that I knew.

First! I loved Solo was not expecting it to like it but was pleasantly surprised.

Same here. "Magnificent" is the word that comes to mind. So many cynical reviews, the best praise I had heard was "it's fine", and I saw people comparing it to Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Maybe the low expectations helped me out, I don't know, but damn am I enjoying this ride so far (only 40 minutes into the movie as I type this).
