I played this many years ago but was overwhelmed. When I saw this tutorial, I went ahead and redownloaded the game and to my surprise, you actually did a step by step by step guide, and not just an overview. This helps tremendously!
A recent PATCH (2/13/23) has increased the price of making your own guild from 100,000 to 1 million silver. Just keep skinning mobs till you can afford it. As of 6/1/23 you can't sit on your mount as the mob will regenerate health or leash back to their starting position. Was fun while it lasted! If you plan to play for THREE MONTHS save up silver for your own guild islands. If less time, don't bother with the guild stuff at all.

I started playing this game a few days ago. I was in Tier 3, broke and struggling. I rerolled yesterday, and followed this video to the letter. Now I am in tier 4.1, loaded with cash, and just rolling over stuff. I did get stumped with the guild cost though. Was almost 1 million silver to start my own guild. I saw a comment from @SwoleBenji that they changed that. Today is day 2. Over 150K silver, tier 4.1 gear, tier 3 skinning knife and time to farm up some cash and get that guild island. I suspect I will buy a month of premium too. This is the game I missed in WOW. It reminds me of Vanilla beta wow, with players everywhere. I like the fact that I don't have to raid for gear. I don't have 25 quests in my book. I don't have 30 hot keys for actions. I can't wait to play some pvp. I suspect if I'm loaded, I won't care if I loose some gear. Thanks for this video. Is this still the Meta for this start or should I try going for a different build? Is there a video I can watch for when I achieve everything listed in this video? I have a tip for a tutorial there's a chest in the mountain area that can give u 300 to 200 slivers Just stick to a side and go around u will find 2 mobs and be Hinde them there's the chest
You finally convinced me, cursed staff is TOO GOOD. I was going to go battle axe, but the biggest selling point surprisingly was being able to simply auto attack mods to pull them instead of having to walk up to each one lmao. Thanks again for the awesome guide! 👍
AH I just discovered this game recently and I've been overwhelmed for sure with how to start. Watching this entire video has helped me out so so much. So, rough stone update. In Lymhurst where I'm based, (I moved for a guild), the price of rough stone had increased half again, so instead of 70s each they're up to 140s each. The rough stone has become quite popular, perhaps a reflection of Benji's popularity. There's nothing else you can produce that will bring you 140s. With Benji's tips you can arrive at the "Cross" beginners area with enough silver to carry you through T4 easily. So officially, a month later, I'm sending out an apology to Benji. His tips are super helpful.

All I did was get enough to get skinning started, then skin and go back for the island stuff after you get your 4.1 clothes, it's a bit lengthy and sets you back a day on progress but it's worthwhile.
I dipped out after I saw Rough Stone low af price in the market and bought myself 1.2k gold 🙃🙃 No way I spent 5 hours farming rough stones and get myself barely 80k 💀

Works Great at 23 hours almost exactly play time have tier 5.3 can wear tier 7 have tier 5 skinning as well.and ive strayed from the path a bit too. Solid advice!

I'm a huge troll and people don't like that. It all started when I ganked yellow zones for fun but I talked mad crap on reddit to many guilds and even the games staff to the point where people who lean left in politics saw me as an enemy. It's also the same in any game where there's a popular person. Like if you look at in-game chat in World of Warcraft everyone talks crap about Asmongold. Same thing here.

@@sujan5334 of course bro,though I teach players how to make their own guild so they won't depend on dracu guilds that use them like chess pieces..you will be able to do some safe good content based on swolebenji vids.. believe me, after 4 years playing the game, my conclusion is that you can make some friends and play safe content with them without joining any guild..this guide by swolebenji is the best example

I recently returned to Albion and have a character that has over 2 weeks of game time, but I kinda went nuts and kinda went gathering crazy, paid for premium and got an island and raised it to level 6 in Brecilian, got my house to level 7 and a whole bunch of other buildings and started raising swiftpaws.... Benji I couldn’t be more thankful, this has been a 2 day process following your video as I made a couple mistakes with spending learning points on the wrong things but I am now at the end of the video and excited to start my Journey! Just one question that came to mind if you don’t mind answering it for me. Because we have a guild on the alt character does that mean we cannot join another guild on our main will we lose our island? And if not are we able to become the guild leader on our main character instead of the alt so that we may have the guild name under our name and have our guild crest active on our main player too? Because I used to play the game back when it released and I'm a T7 cotton gatherer. Is it better to grind as a skinner since it allows me to sometimes drop books and baby animals, or is cotton (or any other resources) as profitable as skinning?

Hi SwoleBenji, really useful video! I started to play today and I saw that stone price has dropped a lot. I'm guessing if I have to follow this strategy anyway or if ther eis an alternative strategy. The problem is that right now all the stones that I gather worth 60k more or less, which is a lot less than in the video. Thanks for any help you can provide. (and sorry for my bad english)
Just make a 4th account to be secure but while the stone prices are lower so is everything else like the gear you have to buy We're still at the stage where stones are worth alot the only reason they're not super cheap is cuz not enough people abuse it yet

Thanks for such a great start Benji! There were some bumps in the road but I was managed to get most things done by the time my 3 day premium was up. I've been playing for about a week now mainly doing corrupted dungeons and skinning. The cursed staff is great for mob farming, but I'm losing alot of my pvp fights and can't get it to work as well pvp. What other weapon would you recommend thats strong 1v1 for a newer player?

The Guild Cost at Bridgewatch is now 992,400, and rough stone is down to 69 at one less than max. I can't imagine how much a guild island is. It sounds like this entire portion of the tutorial has been nerfed by SBI. What a pity. I think I may just try to find another game to play. It's pretty clear that SBI is continuing to persecuted newbs. With respect, "Just keep skinning mobs till you can afford it" really isn't that helpful. I spent many hours getting to this point, and I'm very disappointed. Benji, I listened to your recent rant post. I'm not sure if SBI is targeting you specifically, or are just being d*cks in general. I know you're doing your best to put out good content, and I appreciate your efforts, but it seems the SBI gang is working specifically against you. They are desperate to funnel as many people as possible into premium, and destroying the game in the process isn't a concern for them. Please recommend another game. Thanks!

Your video really help me love this game, I used to play it for a couple of days and dropping it constantly but after playing Path of Exile and watching this video it make me realise how easy it is to get into this game compared to PoE
Farm in safe zones to get like 5 sets of 4.1 nature staff, horse, and gear with cleric robe (best bang for the buck) Go to outlands via conquers hall. Use invisible shrine to scout solo dun and do them. Return safely or if you got unlucky and die you have the extra sets for that purpose. Solo dun in outlands give better stuff and sliver. Keep any 30k+ items in bank that doesnt sell well in outland market. When you feeling lucky and got a big collection, you can risk transporting for better chance of profit or just sell getting ripped off because it's still money. In 6 game-days, I died 7 times, did a lot of ripped off sells, made 1 successful transport of 30k+ items to royal cities, got to lvl 8 reaver and spec 35+ on my gear. I made about 2.5 mil silver.
First time I play an online game, I tried. few times but the start was always so slow and not knowing how to work around things I would get tired and drop it... First time it feels like fun :D Thanks!

Some things have changed since the release of this video, but for the most part it's still accurate. So many tricks given out, I'm kind of jealous of new players watching this. Oh, by the way, grind that rough stone and buy that guild no matter what. Yeah, I know, creating a guild is really expensive now, but it's still worth it. Also, do not join other people's guilds. Just don't. Ever. Unless they are all your real-life friends. This game's guilds are a bit different than in other MMOs, they will use you with little to nothing in return

I started playing through your spirit hunter build guide been grinding a lot back then. Now I just spend my time handing stacks of eggs to new players at the starter areas and watch them get overloaded. Funny seeing them move so slow struggling to get to town to sell it. Ofcourse it's worth about a few hundred thousand silver if they're able to reach town.
I started playing as a guest & spent ages trying to figure out how to refine logs to planks as the tutorial zone wouldn't let me do it. I was Forced to purchase items to continue the quest line as I couldn't craft??? I had to go to Swamp Cross to find out that I needed to PAY to PLAY to Refine. I can't return to the tutorial zone as it costs to much. I'll make a new Toon to follow this tutorial.

@@SwoleBenji oh, it's my decision since i saw your post about greataxe as well. Im in tier 6 greataxe now, but still confused as to what armor, helm and boots I should pair the weapon with.
Works Great at 23 hours almost exactly play time have tier 5.3 can wear tier 7 have tier 5 skinning as well.and ive strayed from the path a bit too. Solid advice!

I have just started the game yesterday, followed your plan ( I am midway through actually) and I have asked for help in chat couple of time (for diff Q) and everytime I mentioned that I followed your plan. Then everything drastically changed, people are cursing me, calling me troll, etc. Did not understand why, then they told me I should never follow or listen to u, as you are a " right incel " a troll, etc. Wtf did u do to them my man? This is crazy. I still wanna thank you for the awesome start you provided me!
I'm a huge troll and people don't like that. It all started when I ganked yellow zones for fun but I talked mad crap on reddit to many guilds and even the games staff to the point where people who lean left in politics saw me as an enemy. It's also the same in any game where there's a popular person. Like if you look at in-game chat in World of Warcraft everyone talks crap about Asmongold. Same thing here.
Never played WoW, but I constantly watch Asmon's videos. It s so hard for me to believe people would talk trash about him as he looks like such a great guy. @@sujan5334 of course bro,though I teach players how to make their own guild so they won't depend on dracu guilds that use them like chess pieces..you will be able to do some safe good content based on swolebenji vids.. believe me, after 4 years playing the game, my conclusion is that you can make some friends and play safe content with them without joining any guild..this guide by swolebenji is the best example
man, five days to late (1 day, 2hr of game play) in finding this video. this guy is helping people make bank and be super experienced on a short amount of time. I may need to start over.

wow! this was super helpful! I recently returned to Albion and have a character that has over 2 weeks of game time, but I kinda went nuts and kinda went gathering crazy, paid for premium and got an island and raised it to level 6 in Brecilian, got my house to level 7 and a whole bunch of other buildings and started raising swiftpaws.... Dang!
Benji I couldn’t be more thankful, this has been a 2 day process following your video as I made a couple mistakes with spending learning points on the wrong things but I am now at the end of the video and excited to start my Journey! Just one question that came to mind if you don’t mind answering it for me. Because we have a guild on the alt character does that mean we cannot join another guild on our main will we lose our island? And if not are we able to become the guild leader on our main character instead of the alt so that we may have the guild name under our name and have our guild crest active on our main player too? Once again thank you and keep up the work!
u can transfer leadership to your main , or just give access to your main and use the guild island as a storage or for laborers.

Because I used to play the game back when it released and I'm a T7 cotton gatherer. Is it better to grind as a skinner since it allows me to sometimes drop books and baby animals, or is cotton (or any other resources) as profitable as skinning?

Hi SwoleBenji, really useful video! I started to play today and I saw that stone price has dropped a lot. I'm guessing if I have to follow this strategy anyway or if ther eis an alternative strategy. The problem is that right now all the stones that I gather worth 60k more or less, which is a lot less than in the video. Thanks for any help you can provide. (and sorry for my bad english)
Just make a 4th account to be secure but while the stone prices are lower so is everything else like the gear you have to buy
We're still at the stage where stones are worth alot the only reason they're not super cheap is cuz not enough people abuse it yet
Just wait to see that creating a guild now costs 1 million (yep) silver xD

Thanks for such a great start Benji! There were some bumps in the road but I was managed to get most things done by the time my 3 day premium was up. I've been playing for about a week now mainly doing corrupted dungeons and skinning. The cursed staff is great for mob farming, but I'm losing alot of my pvp fights and can't get it to work as well pvp. What other weapon would you recommend thats strong 1v1 for a newer player?

The Guild Cost at Bridgewatch is now 992,400, and rough stone is down to 69 at one less than max. I can't imagine how much a guild island is. It sounds like this entire portion of the tutorial has been nerfed by SBI. What a pity. I think I may just try to find another game to play. It's pretty clear that SBI is continuing to persecuted newbs.
With respect, "Just keep skinning mobs till you can afford it" really isn't that helpful. I spent many hours getting to this point, and I'm very disappointed.
Benji, I listened to your recent rant post. I'm not sure if SBI is targeting you specifically, or are just being d*cks in general. I know you're doing your best to put out good content, and I appreciate your efforts, but it seems the SBI gang is working specifically against you. They are desperate to funnel as many people as possible into premium, and destroying the game in the process isn't a concern for them. Please recommend another game. Thanks!
Wow. I was playing right now when I realized that the first 1hr of this video doesn’t applicable anymore. Just like what you said bro stones drop prices and the guild cost so expensive. Maybe finding another guide that is present makes help. Damn I waste a lot of time to play the game but doesn’t apply the guide anymore.

Your video really help me love this game, I used to play it for a couple of days and dropping it constantly but after playing Path of Exile and watching this video it make me realise how easy it is to get into this game compared to PoE
I. Can't create guild it's so high price
Farm in safe zones to get like 5 sets of 4.1 nature staff, horse, and gear with cleric robe (best bang for the buck) Go to outlands via conquers hall. Use invisible shrine to scout solo dun and do them. Return safely or if you got unlucky and die you have the extra sets for that purpose. Solo dun in outlands give better stuff and sliver. Keep any 30k+ items in bank that doesnt sell well in outland market. When you feeling lucky and got a big collection, you can risk transporting for better chance of profit or just sell getting ripped off because it's still money.
In 6 game-days, I died 7 times, did a lot of ripped off sells, made 1 successful transport of 30k+ items to royal cities, got to lvl 8 reaver and spec 35+ on my gear. I made about 2.5 mil silver.

Some things have changed since the release of this video, but for the most part it's still accurate. So many tricks given out, I'm kind of jealous of new players watching this. Oh, by the way, grind that rough stone and buy that guild no matter what. Yeah, I know, creating a guild is really expensive now, but it's still worth it. Also, do not join other people's guilds. Just don't. Ever. Unless they are all your real-life friends. This game's guilds are a bit different than in other MMOs, they will use you with little to nothing in return

I started playing through your spirit hunter build guide been grinding a lot back then. Now I just spend my time handing stacks of eggs to new players at the starter areas and watch them get overloaded. Funny seeing them move so slow struggling to get to town to sell it. Ofcourse it's worth about a few hundred thousand silver if they're able to reach town.
I started playing as a guest & spent ages trying to figure out how to refine logs to planks as the tutorial zone wouldn't let me do it. I was Forced to purchase items to continue the quest line as I couldn't craft???
I had to go to Swamp Cross to find out that I needed to PAY to PLAY to Refine. I can't return to the tutorial zone as it costs to much. I'll make a new Toon to follow this tutorial.
