Nice demo. The Gain enhancer feeds some of the output back into the amp input to try and simulate some of the acoustic reinforcement that you get when playing in front of a loud amp.
Thanks a lot ❤ Yeah, that sort of feedback is also what I expect it to be (also described that way in the manual) but there's some simulation going on it that too, cause if you just feed some audio back to the input, it's not going to sound and react like this. It's really a clever circiut the've created here 🙂
Getting some great tones there! I’ve been using my non-Turbo FM9 for a few years. I wish I was as good at creating tones as you. Great stuff! Love that pink Silver Sky as well!
Hello, I came across your channel by chance, I often find this information better than the commercial videos. Why did you choose the FM9? And not one of the usual suspects like Helix, Kemper, QC? Greetings from Germany ;)
Well, I've actually had a Helix (as i mention in the video) for some years, and also liked it. But it wasn't as "lively" as my analog setup. Then when I got the Tsakalis Mothership, I discovered that it reacted way more like my analog setup. I've also got a TonexOne, but that one, like the Helix doesn't have as good response. This is probably something that others dont have the same need for, e.g. if you're playing with a lot of gain, it doesn't really have that great an impact. And then when I got the Fractal VP4 I discovered that it had the same response as the Tsakalis Mothership. And so has the FM9 🙂
Hi Olzzon, it looks like you´ve also got the Boss RC 600 Looper. I've had only trouble trying to connect the RC 600 with the FM9, in any constellation it sounded - sounds - shit. Playing Live these days I prefer to run the FM9 and the RC 600 separately into the Laney Speakers. But like this I can forget about overdubs, or recording anything at the moment. I mean, I tried it with Humbuster cables & anything the G66 support team (best service people I ever got to know) suggested...I didn´t find the right way to use the RC 600 with the FM9. The sound was always poor. So, may I ask how does it work for you with these two components? BTW nice starter video & great playing!
Yeah, you have to keep things separate. What I've done: FM9: - Output 1 directly to FRFR (Active speaker) - Output 2 or 3 into RC600 RC600: - Set instrument 1 input to Line level. - Turn off direct sound from Instrument 1 to output so it's only track output that is playing. - Main output to FRFR (on a second input) Can't really remember how I did on the RC600 IMHO RC600 has the most terrible menu system, it's like coming back to the 80's, but if you get stuck let me know, then I'll look it up 🙂
Thanks a lot ❤️ It's 99% directly out, had a keyed expander on the mic from my mac, that recorded my voice, and then when getting audio directly from the FM9, it "muted" the computer mic.
So far I really love the unit, and haven't found anything I don't like about it, but as I've only had it a few days, I can't say for sure if there will be things I dislike. I will do some follow videos during the next months, so if you subscribe you can follow my journey 🙂
It's these www.thomann.de/dk/the_box_pro_dsx_112.htm I haven't spend that much on monitoring, and it probably wouldn't be the one I would recommend, but I think they work okay.
Great tones, congrats!
@@xGildxx thanks a lot. With this device it’s pretty easy to achieve that 🙂

great video as always. thank you for your effort
Thanks you so much, your support means a lot to me 🙂

Hi, can you share this preset?
Oh yes, I'll also add a link in the comments.
You can find it here 🙂

...and which frfr are you using?
FRFR wise I've just got some cheap "the Box" DSX112 something, but again that's not really on the recording 🙂
@@olzzonscorner ...but when you want to hear the FM9 in the room, you take your FRFR - right? or do you listen with monitors
@@timcat88 yes, thats 2 small PA speakers. So pretty much like an Guitar FRFR setup.
