R.I.P. to Fred Ward. So awesome in so many films, including this one and 'Miami Blues" amongst numerous others. And I have loved this tune for over 35 years now. Certainly beats what passes for Faux-Styx these days. Oh no he didn't!!
im only 33, but this movie is one of my favorites too. I just came here for the tune after watching the movie AGAIN, to figure out Fred Ward is no longer amongst us :O!
Very underrated 80s movie. This was supposed to be a series of movies but it didn't do well at the box office. Anyway great song, makes me think of the ambulance scene in the movie.
Nick Hentschel I need some comic relief just now. James Franco roast Jeff Ross killed. Did you all see the movie The End? Johan Hill was f*cked in the ass by a demon with a big black dildo. The dildo didn't have to be big or black but you know Jonah and his demands. Jonah's agent called him telling him Quentin Tarantino had a part for him in a spaghetti western. Jonah said, "You had me at spaghetti." Jonah was faced with a problem for tonight's roast, he had to find a tuxedo that changed size every three hours.
I remember back in the fall of 1985 when this song was on MTV back when they used to actually play music videos, but that was then and this is now and MTV sucks. The 80's was the best decade for music, movies, and TV shows in my opinion. You would of had to been there and lived thru it or you just wouldn’t understand....

I always liked Fred Ward, for a long time he seemed to be in everything, reminds me of better days👍
Too long ago to make a sequel. 31 years and, sadly, Joel Grey passed away a few years ago. There is a reboot in the works. As of right now, it's still in development. If it does get made, it's going to be called "The Destroyer" and will be directed by Shane Black. You can read about it here: filmjunk.com/2014/08/21/shane-black-to-direct-remo-williams-reboot-the-destroyer/ or just google "The Destroyer reboot".

gorn9146 It was a real pleasure for me reading your comments. I had this movie on video tape, I watched it often. My dad made the rank of vice admiral, I love these types of movies. Genuinely a pleasure, you really made my night! I remembered! I had the movie Manhunter (1986) on video, the old one with William Petersen as Will Graham. The video tape I had included a final scene I haven't found anywhere else. After Will kills the Red Dragon he goes to the home of the next family that would have been murdered by the Red Dragon, rings their bell and it's dark out at night except the porch light, and it's raining and I think Red 7 Heartbeat is playing and Will doesn't say anything to the couple he saved, maybe a kid or two pops their heads out or they're playing in the background and the couple have these puzzled looks on their faces and Will is just sort of gloating spiritually. I don't know why it didn't make the final cut in all the other versions, it's about the most powerful piece of film I've ever seen. So, THANK YOU !
I think Tommy Shaw has some pact with Satan going on...this is from 1985...that's almost 30 years ago, and he basically looks exactly the same...and his voice STILL blows me away. I saw him with Styx in Nashville, and he sounded amazing (the whole band kicked ass, actually). Also, some say this wasn't a great movie, but I look back on it with such nostalgia!
