5 months ago I did the same in my drive way with my b18b1 and I self tuned it on s300 e85 ..tunned watching ur videos ,my car ran a 7.8 in the 1/8 mile @91mph thanks bro u give a lot of information for Free. Good luck with the kseries
I think it's a great idea doing the turbo kit in the driveway. Like you said this is prob the case for a good bit of people and shows that it can be done for the most part. I would try a 160* stat or you modify 1 and drill a hole or 2 when you put it back together, if it overheats then there's a problem with circulation, rad size or something.
Yo young static had the same issue with running a t stat and he took and drilled a hole to allow water to flow through more and its helped him in a few diff cars
Awesome dude!! I boosted my 2000 civic si in my driveway 2 years ago and just finished rebuilding my engine about a week ago also in my driveway and just breaking her in this weekend. I want to get myself an integra one day and build it like I did my SI.
Yeah Detroit Axle sells good quality shit. Been buying from them for years for ALL my Honda’s. This turbo series is as REAL as it gets. Thanks for suffering through it Hunter. 👍🏻
The first thing we do here in Louisiana (the boiling south) tomour builds is remove the cars heater. Truust me, here you do not need one! The only good thing about where i live is i am 50 feet above sea level and the air is heavy. Makes for great dyno numbers
Pressure test coolant system. Probably got a small deep somewhere. Shouldn’t get hot with thermostat in. If that’s a Maxspeeding rod intake manifold. Run your fingers along the underside where the coolant ports are. I had a hell of time getting it to stop leaking there.
Hey bro, great vid! You mentioned it is a 62mm turbo But it seems it's a 10 blade compressor which is actually a 66 gen2 wheel. 11 blade: 62mm Gen 1 10 blade: 66mm Gen 2 I have the same turbo going on my setup and the blades caught my eye.
bet this is the last time you do this in the driveway. the up and down is the worst... good video. keep pushing. looking forward to the next installment.
Just a suggestion but alot of people including myself run a oil sandwich plate because the stock oil pressure switch port can crack easily if to much weight, it cracked on my first turbo k swap had to get port welded shut.
You have a funny way of thinking bro just put a thermostat I have zero overheating issues with my setup I'm running a half size 3 core with a spal fan on a relay 185 thermostat spal thermostatic switch making 376whp daily drivin in the desert warms up good and stays cool

160 is a bit low, car might not even reach operating temp in the colder months

Like the garage series 👌 and the new assistant. Doing great things, brings back memories and gives me some tips on my build.

Great Work man Team Work Make the Dream Work
There's adapters hunter for your coolant side plate. I use PLM primarily. Never had an issue just had to add liquid Teflon
Been waiting for this video!🔥 hoping to create the same kit concept for my fa5 “budget build”

Yea having a lift is way better but I like how he's doing it in his own garage like most of us. His back on there other hand may disagree 😄
Good job brother
