@@rainbowpheanix a lot of times hes queing with his own viewers so they understand. They're also mostly in silver/gold lobbies due to this so... dumb plays and weak mentals on the enemy team is pretty common

Yes, clicking after you jump in selects the direction. No idea how it decides if you don't click.
Yeah, the main mistake people make is double clicking - clicking multiple times when entering the Herald. You just have to click it one time, and once you are mounted THEN you click again with the mouse on the direction you want to go.
Or, you know, just let it ram the turret without piloting.
You could aim by entering the other side, but it works like how abilities do, when you don't have smart casting on. You have to left click once to confirm.

The maiden is programed to stay behind your character, so you have to face enemies for the maiden to go behind you. Hopefully you see this before the next time you play this deadly man.

I found out if you hold left click when choosing which way herald goes it always works correctly
You don't need to hold, clicking the direction also does its job :)
@@Sullii1108 yes but with holding you directly give movement input, so it is easier to drive it and you can swiftly correct minor errors in it's route.
After you enter, it does follow the cursor, the reason his attempt looked so weird is prob bc he either clicked twice, so he locked in a bad direction.

As you are entering the Herald, you must right click the direction you wanna go, if you just channel to enter, it will go towards the opposite direction you entered from. At least that's what works for me.

Hey Zwag, maybe rift herald works from where do you enter it, like it will go in the same direction you were facing before entering, or maybe left click to point it in the right direction. Hope this helps :)
Pretty sure you just have to click on the side you want to go with the herald, not only point the arrow. The arrow is just to choose the side you wanna go
Just stand in the back of the beast. You always run to the front of it to enter the beast, which makes it go's backwards 😅

Herald's direction problem: very easy to solve. Use it like Master Yi's Q or Kayn R: click on the direction you want to go, don't just merely point at it. And that's it.

You want Archangel's first, because Cass is so mana hungry.

Heartsteel will easily proc because you're ranged and fast. For the same reason Rylai's will be excellent for kiting, just like bruiser Ashe.
Spirit Visage synergizes with your E healing and shielding granted by Seraph's and Gargoyle. Extra points for building all three!

12:05 For eclipse to proc it has to be two separate abilities or attacks. The mist walkers/ghouls themselves I believe are treated like 1 ability. Even if it hits multiple times in a row. The time window between your E landing and the first ghoul hitting was too long apart. The timing between the ghouls would have worked if each ghoul was treated as it's own separate spell. But Riot spaghetti code probably just looks at the damage source name, which in this case is the same thing twice in a row.

tip for the herald, you have to stand on the opposite side of the direction you want to go (stand above to go down, on the right side to go left, etc.)
There is nothing wrong with the herald- I have never had any problems. The problem is that people click again immediately after clicking on the herald because they're used to clicking a thousand times a second. You click the herald once, then you click once in the direction you want. If you click a third time, after choosing the direction, it doesn't change the direction either- you're locked in. There's nothing wrong with the herald though.

The drive direction is not depending on the mouse, but the position ur champ in regard of the Herald, as you gets onto its back, and it will start going into the other direction.
Can the ghouls apply runan’s hurricane?
Zwag, I've found that holding your mouse in the direction you want Rift is more reliable. The bug probably still happens but holding it may lower the chances of you encountering an issue.
btw with the herald you have to left click when it has the normal cast option up.

If you tap the recall button it forces maiden to stack on you when you recall so she will follow plus you can bm in the process
15:18 I think because you were farther down the lane when herald spawned it faced you the other way you should have stayed more on your side of the lane till it spawned then clicked to get in but idk

I think the herald thing is it goes where your last click was, kinda like a quick cast if you dont click again
The herald spawned facing backwards. That's why it did what it did. You clicked to fast when summoned so you didn't notice. I had to slow it down to catch it.

zwag im pretty sure herald goes in the direction of where its facing, when you spawned it it was facing towards your side of the lane, plus you were in front of it

The initial herald direction is based from where you enter the eye. It's the opposite direction, THEN it follows your mouse. Took me a bit of wall hitting to understand.
Looks like heralds charge is based on the direction it is facing when you get in it
The Herald will travel in whatever direction your character is facing when you jump into it.
So if you are in front of the herald, it will start running backwards... If you enter from 'its' back the herald will keep going forward
Im fairly sure the hearld bug is due to the fact that its ment to go the direction it points but sometimes (most of the time ) it doesnt work the easy fix it to click the direction you want it to charge

Do you know that you can have more than four ghouls on you summon your ghouls when the others are far enough away from yorick or that maiden?
this way you could push several lans at the same time and accumulate more gold than any champion.
You could also release your maiden to push a lane without you which allows you to focus on another lane or help your team, lethality yorick has insane damage just with these ghouls and does not necessarily need that maiden to be useful in teamfight.
No one can emulate the greatness of Pokerick (check his channel, if u like zwag's youtube you will most likely love Pokerick). But it was definitely a honorable tribute

you should wait like a second for the herald to turn so you can get inside. it was turned back and you immediately went in, should wait for it to turn the right way so it considers your direction correctly.

This is another opportunity to say I hate the new herald mechanic. That's how the driving ends without a license. 15:15 that's a bummer, but I have a solution. They should add a driving tutorial, and you should complete it to be able to drive the herald. I mean, similar thing works in real life, so... I've seen too many games flip because of that issue.
Spam click the way you wanna go in the Herald rather than holding your mouse. I think that works a bit better.
Also, jump into Herald from the correct side. You jumped into it from the south did of the map, so the thing is going to start facing north first.

about the herald: you moved below it after summoning the her thats why it went in the other direction. if you stay above it it will go down. its made like this so people can have better control over the her and use it to escape if needed
Man as a streamer I love I beg of you, just practice mode with the herald one single time. I’ve never had it go the wrong way, and I don’t know what everybody is doing to make it go all crazy but it’s not hard to figure out and it’s super powerful!

Looks to me, like your walking back and then use it. So your innfront of it. You enter it facing back. Summon it ahead of you in lane facing down the lane. You will correct the issue. Do not think it's a glitch cause currently your the only one I see having a consistent issue. No worries in the grand scheme your moves and strategies outplay a single herald any day. Minor adjustment and your completely set.

yo have to do att movement in the direction you want the herald to go. It's not intuitive but it's not 50/50. If you do the att movement its going to go 100% of the time the place you want it to go.
I think it's based on the side you enter herald from. You entered from the bottom side of it this time and I think that's why it went up.
The herald always drives in the opposite direction as you get in.

You have to left click mouse button in the direction you're choosing for herald driving. Licensed Rift Herald driver here.
Actualy the herald go in the oposite direction that you are, so if you want him to go foward you need to get in his back. I dont know if i write it correctly because im not a native speaker, btw this is what i get from all the times i watch people riding herald

What i do whit Herald to never fail is to click it once, then keep the cursor to the direction i want to go.

The Heralds way is determined by your position when he pops.. You summoned it south of you but moved ... and you were south of it when you entered it, so it went up. No bug here.

With the Herold you need to stay with ur mouse in the way u want to move. You klicked in the right way but u move up your mouse. And then he will go this way ^^ Try it out =)
