in other software we can determine critical clearing time which depicts how much time my turbine will remain in synchronism for a large sudden disturbance like an outage of grid supply or an another generator etc , this time parameter is needed for coordinating protections, load shedding schemes, Grid Islanding schemes, all these...we can do it in ETAP, Digsilent, we can determine critical clear time, like this, can't we have it in PSSE?
What actually does mean, converted case file, what we do in Convert Generator and load, why we need to do this, what's the significance of creating .con file?
Hello Dr. Samad Anwer, I am wonder if we create our own model, how we can create our model.dyr as you shown in 1:53 minute? Could you please explain that to me???
Thankyou for your querry. In my next video i will explain how to create .DYR file and how to simulate Generator Model, Exciter Model and Governor Model.
How does the "Run to" option in dynamic simulation work? Why did you initialize for 0.02 secs at first? The does the run to 1 sec means there was no fault up to 1 sec. After that run to 1.1 secs with fault - what does that mean? Does that fault start at 1.1 sec?
Mahi R Before 1 sec it was a prefault condition and after 1 sec it is a fault condition of 5 cycle (20ms per cycle) from 1 sec to 1.1sec then there is post fault condition. Here you can put the fault condition at any time. Further, the duration of the fault can also be increase, for example 9 cycle to check the stability respose
Dr. Abdul, great video! A question for you, can I save a dynamic simulation progress in the middle of switching event, for instance, a fault on a bus, by saving the system case and snapshot, and later continue to run this simulation? I noticed that if I do so, after I reload the system case and snapshot, my fault is no longer in the list to be cleared. Does that mean dynamic simulation cannot be saved in the middle of switching event?
Hello Dr. Samad, I want to ask about FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission System). What module is use for us to create the FACTS modelling? Thank you. Your videos are very informative!
Hi Dr. Samad, Can we introduce relay in psse without using pyhton? Can you help me with the relays as i will be doing analysis on protective relaying performance using psse for my project.
Where are you getting the values which you use to edit the model Parameters for WT4G1
do you have the sav and dyr on it and can you please share
Really great video, clear explanation, upload more on HVDC, FACTS integrated power system

Hi Dr. Samad, You showed how to open the .dyr file but you did not show how to create it.

You can watch the video below to make DYR file for Transient Stability Analysis

Do this by python recording
Hello Dr. Samad Anwer, great video ! After initializing I get " INITIAL CONDITIONS SUSPECT " how do I proceed ?
Investigate the parameters you have entered via DOCU process

Yes you can
Sir when I am opening EXAMPLE 123 file to insert plots... It is showing channel file is empty.. what should I do sir?
You arent running the out file. After u initialize the out file, u have to run it for some positive time t+.
Great video, I learned a lot. Serious question... how is there so much traffic and honking? Are you producing this video in street on Times Square?
Haha
