One of my cousins asked if this was normal, to go to the bar when someone died. So I told them, joking, that if any of us died, we'd meet up at the bar. Drinks on me, if I got there first. And that they'd never be alone, I'd watch over them. When I heard that conversation between FemShep and Garrus, of them meeting up at the bar, it made me cry even more. I love this game so much. I love this ship. There's no Shepard without Vakarian.
What makes me cry is when fmale shep says 'I love you' and puts her hand on Garrus' scared face and he hesitates like he wants to say so much but just leans into her hand and says, 'I... I love you too.'. So sad so much emotion
I literally just finished this game for the first time and I romanced Garrus! And let me tell you, I CRIED LIKE I LOST THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!!! Their romance hit differently. I absolutely love this video and now I can’t stop crying. I wish they could of been together in the end 😭😭♥️
You can make the argument that they are because if you get the Destroy ending, it's implied that Shepard lives. Garrus hesitates to add her name to the wall (because he has a gut feeling she's alive), and then when you look over the rubble afterward, you hear her gasp, implying she survived.

Shepard x Garrus just feels like a poetic justice, their relationship is very awkward, but it's something that Bioware turned into basically THE relationship of Mass Effect.

I have never romances garrus. Not because I didn't want to but because for me, femshep and liara were always the pair. That will probably never change but never say never I guess. The point is, "This" is a romance that can make a grown man cry. Absolutely loved this video.
I cannot describe how this made me feel. The editing and video work was so absolutely amazing, it made me feel as if Garrus and Shepherd really were alive. Really loved and lost. My heart ached when he put up the plaque but the ending, it made my tears of sadness in to tears of joy! As a Garrus and Shepherd fan, I thank you from the bottom of my heart! This was a video I didn't know I needed to see!
I’m just saying everyone loves to say liara is the canon romance, but how can she compete with Garrus and tali. They follow you in every game and are always with you no questions asked. They’re the only true loyal crew members and both perfect
According to Bioware's own metrics Tali is the number one romance for masc Shep, Garrus is the number one romance for fem Shep, and Liara is the number one over all. And I have to say those are the 3 that are the best developed. I don't personally vibe with the Tali relationship, but I've played it and it's very good but I mostly see Tali as a little sister so my enjoyment is curtailed. I mostly play Femshep, so when I start a new playthrough it's basically a coin flip for me between Garrus or Liara (how gay am I feeling today), and I appreciate the romance arcs are independent of bringing them along on missions. If dragging them along was required to advance the relationship my pick would be decided by whether my current Shep is biotic or not. And it's not the best relationship at all, but masc Shep and Kaiden in ME3 is worth investigating, it's significantly different from Femshep and Kaiden beyond just being gayer. Also I really feel like there should be an achievement called "HR Approved" for not sleeping with you subordinates.
I just finished a 113 hours long first playthrough and now I'm here crying like a baby while watching this. I'm so glad I chose him to be my partner. My life won't ever be the same without you, Garrus Vakarian
He's also p much the only one who doesn't give Shepard SO MUCH SH!T for being forced to work for Cerberus after losing everything (cause of being dead) and everyone who could've been relied on to get them out was contracted by Cerberus
Liara fights her ass off, off screne sure, for Shepherd's corpse to go to Cerberus on the off chance that Project Lazarus might work. And Liara gives as little shit as Garrus about working for Cerberus. She got caught up in a web before ME2 and legitimately can't extract herself from it until the Shadowbroker expac gave her an even more important reason to be unable to join Shepherd in the field. Wars are fought on many fronts, and Liara has been on the forefront of that war the entire time, more than anyone on any version of the Normandy crew. Garrus is definitely with you once he's back with you in 2, and his romance is deeply satisfying, but I won't stand by when y'all are slandering Dr T'Soni.
For me garrus is the best npc in all of the games I play but all of the npc on mass effect series is awesome for me I think if I had any friends like them I would never see them as friends I be seen them as family
I spent like 4 days real time, playing arena in Silversun Strip, earned enough money to buy ALL guns and ALL weapon mods, wish they all could just froze in time. Made like 10 different saves of the party, to replay over and over again - "Shepard, sweeety, love of my life..." Damn you, your comment for remind me of that, damn you EA and Bioware for giving my Shep the best lovematch in this Galaxy and take it away in the next mission. I love this game, I hate that ending, I can only pray for ME4

However, in ME3, she chose to be with Liara over Garrus because he was meant to be with Tali, in my eyes. And, in the end... Even if they aren't together like that, they were obviously meant to be soulmates in other ways. I love them - either romanced together or as friends! Beautiful through and through 😭💕

I finished trilogy a two weeks ago and I feel the same way!
But they are. As long there is no funeral and close casket, and Garrus is not adding Shepard's name to that list on the wall.
