    I'm new to this channel and 1st video. Awesome car, I'm thinking about getting F1000. Sorry for the new guy question... What engine are you running?

      Welcome to this channel! No worries at all, I use the ZX10R 1000 engine myself. Some F1000’s use GSXR engines but you can use any motorcycle engine that is 1000cc. Cheers

    A lot of the cars that you referred to as Radicals are in fact Revolutions. These are a new car from a new company. One of the founders of Revolution is an original Radical man

    I don’t think your problem was aero... possible of the track being slick due to heat. May I suggest that front and rear bars be adjusted and / or possible dampening could be varied. Great video. Keep it up. Cheers from OZ. 👍🥃🇦🇺

      All good ideas, there are many contributing factors with top speed above 140 mph for these cars. Thanks for the ideas and nice words over the channel. Keep the comments coming, cheers

    Hi Mark top end power not being stolen by the interrupted air to the throttle bodys by the main hoop in the way of fresh high speed air?
    Loving the content look forward to seeing whether you have found the thief of power.

      That is one train of thought we have as well and hard to prove it. So…. We installed EGT sensors on each cylinder which should show us what’s going on at speed. Or so we hope. We are also planning a chassis dyno in the next few months. Thanks for the comment and thinking. Keep ‘em coming..

    On average, about how much does it cost to do a season of racing in an F1000 race car?

    • @NixonMotorsports
      @NixonMotorsports  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sure, great question. A general range is the best I can provide as it depends on many factors such as the number of races, distance you consider in traveling to circuits, etc. I would say you could use something between $5000 to $15000 per race weekend. Considering a single set of tires is $1400. You can typically use one engine for a season but like any race car you have lots of disposable or wearable items that contribute to costs. I hope this helps.. if you have more questions let me know.

      @alexsalazar6551 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I just ask the same. Thx, so average could be 8. Or 9k per race.
      Next question, how many races in a championship ? Any prizes? .., and. Is there any championship runing on Florida ? There are 4 to 5 intl tracks..

    • @NixonMotorsports
      @NixonMotorsports  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@alexsalazar6551 From a budget point of view, I would say you are right taking everything into account. If you race in the US Majors which is SCCA's National level series you have tons of options as to what tracks you want to run. For example if you are East coast you can only pick tracks close by, or if you are able and interested you can also race in any track within the US. You have them all for the most part such as Road America, VIR, Road Atlanta, Daytona, Sebring, Mid Ohio only naming a few. You get my point. On the championship question, there is your region points to achieve top positions but all focus for the most part on getting the needed racing in so you can attend and compete at the National Champion event called the Runoffs. This is to race and compete against the best in the US. To win a Runoffs championship is a big deal, many pro racings have that on their bio history. For example, I remember my very first Runoffs ~ 2005 I raced against Graham Rahal in the Atlantic class. Check out www.scca.com this will help guide you and if you have more questions let me know. cheers

    Congrats on videos and racing...questions. 1. if i dont have the car. What could be the cost of a racing seasson .. 2. What will be if i have the car ? Thx for your info

    • @NixonMotorsports
      @NixonMotorsports  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you do not have a race car and want to race you can look for arrive and drive programs where you just show up and everything is ready for you. Not sure the cost for that, my guess you would have options depending on how many races you wanted to do. My guess somewhere around $50k to $250k a year. If you have your own car for me typically I would say you need to budget around $8-10k per race. Hope that helps! Cheers
