Great interview with Tommy Emmanuel. I've seen a lot of guitarists over the years, I'm 63, but I have three favourites. Tommy is one; the others are Frank Zappa and Jan Akkerman.
FORGET Tommy Emmanuel's guitar playing! (Which BTFreakingW is out of this world!) The absolute JOY this man projects through his music completely blew me away from the very moment I first caught one of his performances via an online video some years back. In my simple view of things... his excellent guitar playing is simply an outgrowth of someone with extreme sincerity for music making as well as being a genuinely kind & caring individual. After THAT... everything else is merely details - - including his power house ability playing guitar like nobody else on the planet!

I love Rick’s “What Makes This Song Great?” Series. I would be simply overjoyed if he was to extend that concept to entire albums in the same vein as the TV series Classic Albums.
I saw Tommy play The Capitol Theater on 5/18/24 . . . I knew he was phenomenal ( and ) he was Even Better then anticipated. Complete Mastery of an Instrument. Go see this man perform live - it's next level. This guy is a "Freak-Show" - it's hard to digest how anyone can become that incredible.

When I was working in London's Denmark St, Sting's keyboard player, Jason Rebello walked in to try out a new digital piano at the time (it was 1994) and the moment he started playing my jaw was on the floor. What a player back then at a young age. I loved his comment repeated by Dominic about practice. Loved the Sting and Dominic interview Rick. Well done Sir.

Hi Rick...I can,t believe it! TE is one of my all time favourite guitarists, I saw him in South Australia quite a few years ago and have thought for some time it would be amazing if Rick did a TE interview then this morning I jumped on your channel and saw your Black Friday Sale and thought yes I,m buying that, then you announced your interview with TE and I was absolutely stoked! I got excited like a little kid again, can,t wait for it. PS your Beato content is amazing thankyou and I,m going to let my muso mates know about it so they can buy it too.
Thank you Rick for putting this together and following your passion for music. I'm homeschooling my two son's who are 7 and 5 and I wanted a good course for myself and them. Edit: I just purchased and guys,..... IT IS AWESOME! Totally worth it.
Can't wait to see the Tommy Emmanuel interview. Tommy and his brother Phil were in a band named Goldrush. They use to both play on the one guitar, unbelievable and we are talking maybe late 70's. Unbelievable showmanship.
