  • You have my sincere appreciation for any time you spend watching my content. This was a long one!

I figured a lot of this out by trial and error. Grishan Roof is the queen of depotting and I have learned a lot from her.
Most of the items I use are available on Amazon. That list is here:
    www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls...
    Z-Potter Machine: www.zpalette.com/collections/...
MYO Metal Stickers in larger sizes: myocosmeticcases.com/collecti...
    Favorite Empty Palettes:
MYO Empty Palettes. Plastic. Two depths to allow for baked products. Light weight. Do not submerge to wash. myocosmeticcases.com/products...
Adept Cosmetics Palettes (New size and stackable style coming out April 2023!) www.adeptcosmetics.com/collec...
Eyeshadow Brands I have depotted as of this video:
    ABH
    Juvia’s Place
    Nomad Cosmetics
Hourglass quads, trios, and 2021 Holiday release
    Viseart Brow Palette
    Viseart Mattes from Boxy Charm
    Beauty Crop
    Magnetic brands without glue:
Most Indy Brands that are made in the USA are magnetic and not glued. I love that!
Most Indy Brands that also sell singles. (Unless they are made in PRC, then the singles will be magnetic, but the palettes are often not the same. Nomad comes to mind)
Colourpop except the shades in plastic packaging. Those are magnetic, but use glue
Viseart except the palettes in plastic packaging sold by Boxy Charm. They moved away from glue and used Boxy to clear the old design out. Still great shades. Nearly impossible to depot without casualties. Look for the notches. No depotting notches = lots of green glue.
Natasha Denona except for the mini 5 pans. Those are super glued in and you will have to ruin the packaging to get them out.
Most palettes made by Seed Beauty (Tati, KKW, Kylie)
LORAC Pro if they come with a tool. The six pans are glued and may not be magnetic (I don’t remember for sure. Also the unzipped and most of the palettes released before 2019. Fun fact, these are the same pan size as Viseart Petit and make great companions.
Brands that are glued in and not magnetic. (This list includes only what I know of. Please let me know if I am missing any more)
    Nearly everything made in PRC
Most of the makeup made in Germany
Most of the makeup made in England
Some of the makeup made in AUS
I believe the variance in pans has to do with metal availability in each country. Some manufacturers in these countries do use magnetic pans at the client’s request. Beware that non-magnetic tins are also very pliable and you will possibly get more breakage when you depot.
*Note that some shades use a mesh backing or a terracotta tile. These aren’t as scary as they sound. They may break away from the mesh, but lash glue is an easy fix for this. It is unlikely that you will get a baked shade off of a tile or that the tile will break. Heat. Parian. Pop it out. Use as is in your BYOP projects. I have a video on that.
If you have not experienced it, mattes break more easily than shimmers. The way to repress these is with a total crush and grind. Then press with a LOT of even pressure. A pressing machine is the best way to do this. I don’t care what they say, none of these depotting solutions can be mixed in and still preserve the quality of the matte eye shadows and pigments.
Let me know if you have more questions. I am always playing and depotting.
-- I purchased all of these items. At the time I posted this video, I have not received PR ever from any brand. I do not have affiliate links.

Wow! Thank you for the support. I will do another vid with the method I prefer. I need to get an ABH palette to do it. I don’t really want to depot any of the ones I have remaining.
