A solid walk-through of the capabilities *and limitations* of laying out a website using Canva’s templates. A developer looking over my shoulder while watching this said, “Looks like all Canva’s done here is slap a ‘publish on web’ button for poster design.” It goes to the last part of what you said about clients hiring a professional web designer-they are hiring us for more than skills in layout and aesthetics. They are hiring us for problem-solving, business solutions, strategic thinking, and most importantly-our counsel and advice.
I think that for someone who is busy with their business but still needs a website done quickly, this is a good option. If a company is small, owner operated there may not be a budget for a web designer that charges a lot of money to do their job. So to me, for my granddaughter's small business the fact that I, at 76 years old, can come in, design and publish a simple website for her is very good.
I’ve been using the canva website builder and it goes beyond how you are using it. There were many moments where it was just clumsy how you were trying to do some stuff. Sometimes it wasn’t complicated or “not able to be done”, you simply didn’t know how to use it. And that’s ok! Nothing personal against you! I admire and appreciate this type of videos. Valuable content. Just felt I’d share my thoughts, which I felt you just didn’t know how to use it for its full potential.
I have a Canva Pro account which is definitely worth £12.99 p/m and to have full access to all the resources including copyright free music and video footage, and the best difference is creating a unique domain name it doesn't include the name Canva in the URL unlike the free version. Also I was hoping you would explain how to write a professional Privacy Policy and Terms & Cons because it's required by law an I have no idea how to write all the legal jargon, if you could explain how to do it that would be very helpful.
Hi man, first thank you for this great video. I see one problem. The domain. How can I export the "code" to host it on my web host? Is this possible? I don't want only a redirection to my original domain.

Fair comment!
I agree. Do you have a business using Canva for web design and what do you charge if you don't mind me asking?
I've been working my website on Canva and link to my portfolio domain. Hope you can have a course coming out tutoring on this.
Is it suitable for simple sites?
Very much so. Wordpress was so much more complicated. Just as shown here you can get a simple site (not perfect) but up and ready fairly quickly
Excellent breakdown, and I agree with your sentiments at the end of the video!
