- Hello and welcome to my series of videos entitled “Eurovision Through Time” or ETT in short. This is just one of 49 videos in the series which will cover almost all participating countries (past and present) and all of their entries.

The explanation behind the color coding:
Gold - songs that are absolutely God-tier and those that I love unconditionally. Most of the time, they carry a very important and personal message and that is why I overlook any issues around them. We can say I am subjective and biased towards them and I feel no guilt because of that.
Dark Green - amazing songs that are more or less close to perfect or well-balanced/executed on stage. I have almost no objection to them and I listen to them regularly.
Light Green - good songs that I still feel positive about but I have minor criticisms regarding some of its elements (vocals, lyrics, staging, performance, etc…). I still listen to them from time to time and enjoy them.
Dark Blue - songs that I find okay but I have moderate criticism of some of their elements. I don’t skip them if they come up in the playlist tho.
Light Blue - songs about which I don’t have a strong opinion, mostly indifferent. They are fine but they are either not my genre/style or they just don’t do anything for me. I have a major criticism of some of their elements.
Yellow - songs that I don’t like and I have major criticisms towards them. I rarely listen to them and don’t find them too good overall.
Cream - songs I don’t like at all and I hardly ever listen to them and even if I bump into them, I am likely to skip them.
Dark Red - the abyss… put simply, I don’t want to listen to them ever again.

You can vote for your top 10 of each country in the comment section of each separate video.
Songs eligible for this contest are all songs from 2000 to 2024 (including 2020) - exceptions: some disqualified songs
Once you receive "a heart reaction" to your comment, that means your points have been counted in this spreadsheet
Top 5 of each country will proceed to the battle round "head-to-head" until we're left with a small number of songs
(details will be presented later, scheduled for December)

1. Työlki Ellää (2010) Maybe a hot take having it at 1st place? 😊 it's such a lovely, cheerful song that always makes me happy every time i'm listening to it.

10. Why (2005) Another hot take maybe? The song sure is outdated for the time, but i do like the song. A great voice and pleasant to listen to. Geir Rönning, though being of Norwegian nationality competed in the Swedish version of Idol 5 years later in 2010 and he finished 7th overall in the contest. I remember during this time it sparked a bit of controversy in Sweden after the swedish media found out that he was already an established singer/musician in both Norway and Finland. But he was allowed to compete anyway.
You're not the only one who loves 2010, it was underrated for sure. Also, thanks for the 2005 trivia, always love to read those :))

Hmm well, I guess I'm guilty of liking Finnish trash songs hehe. I don't see the magic in 2005 at all, and 2015, well, they are both just there. So far, results have been super predictable for some countries, but I am very very surprised for some other. Thank you for being a part of the project, enjoy your evening as well!

Windows95Man is an artists and a dj and I think the song fits him perfectly as it fitted to represent us this year. But of course people who don't know his character won't get it. That in mind it also fitted to represet us as we vote for the ones we like and not the ones we assume others will like.
Hmmm, okay... thanks for giving me your all's perspective of it. You are probably right, for us "outsiders" it was hard to grasp the humourous side of it. On the other hand you know him and what he's offering so it's totally different point of view
I understand why people don't get the things that are more inside thing of a country. How could they? Do I think that voting for your favourite no matter how it'll succeed in ESC is always right? Definitely not. There's been many times I wished Finnish people had concidered twice, but I guess that's not how it goes here...
@joona2000 oh trust me... I know what your are talking about. We're also not the best when it comes to picking our entry (besides 2024) and 2023 for some reason did well but before that it didn't work no matter what we tried. For example in 2021 Nina Kraljic would have done much much better than Albina even though I loved Tick-Tock I saw the missed opportunity there results-wise
