My top-10 1. 2011 (my winner of that year, still gives me goosebumps, it was like a prophecy of sorts, the angels in danger and all that.) The folowing 5 were on my top-5 of the respective years: 2. 2014 (banger!) 3. 2013 (stunning voice and performance) 4. 2016 (words are poor to express the power of that interpretation) 5. 2007 (eternal guilty pleasure!) 6. 2006 The following 4 I like but not passionately: 7. 2010 8. 2004 9. 2018 (It has been growning on me) 10. 2022 (I love the chorus quite a lot but not so much the verses, ofc I was happy it won because of the symbolism). Tbh I am not so much into folk/ethnic etc, but I gotta admit that the following entries are outstanding in that genre: 2020, 2021 (one of the most memorable videos and live performances ever) and 2024 (also a stunning performance, I can perfectly see why it ranked so high, especially with the public vote). In the "neutral" zone (neither like nor dislike): 2008, 2009, 2019, 2023, 2017, in that order. Last but not least, our bottom-3 are exactly the same!

It was difficult to rank Ukraine. 1. Shum (2021) This is awesome! I'm fond of the mix of techno and Ukrainian folk music.. i wasn't so impressed by the singer's vocal style when i first heard this song, but i have grown to love it 😊. I really like it when the song changes pace during the final part of the song. This would have been a great winner! 😊 2. 1944 (2016) It's an amazing and a very emotional song. It has that ethnic sound with a modern feel to it. Jamala's performance was flawless. The staging was perfect for this song. She managed to showcase her Crimean Tatar heritage in the best way possible. 3. Heart Of Steel (2023) It's great and a very underrated song. The song has like a futuristic feel to it both when it comes to the staging and the instrumentation. The singer has a pretty good voice. 4. Teresa & Maria (2024) A great song that had potential to win Eurovision. The staging was amazing and the singers have great chemistry.. Great voices and the rapping part was good too. 5. Solovey (2020) Another great song, but not as good as their song in 2021. More down-tempo but still has that ethnic folky techno sound. 6. Sweet People (2010) A very good song and it's very underrated. The staging was quite minimalistic, but it worked 😊👍. The singer has a very good voice. 7. Time (2017) It's a good rock song and i think it deserved better than a 24th place in the final.. maybe the song just wasn't strong enough or maybe it was overlooked. The vocals are good, the staging was pretty good, but that big metal human head in the middle of the stage is a bit distracting sometimes. 8. Angel (2011) It's a good song with a beautiful and a creative staging. I agree that the 4th place was a bit too high of a finish. Vocals are very good. 9. Stefania (2022) I think it's a good song, but it is not a winner in my opinion.. Them winning Eurovision didn't bother me at all, but i can understand the reason behind it because of obvious reasons. 10. Razom Nas Bahato (2005) This is very underrated! It's catchy and uplifting. I believe this song means a lot for the Ukrainian people because of the whole Orange Revolution in Ukraine during the time. 2019 was a missed opportunity for Ukraine and i think the song could have finished at least top 10 or top 5 at best. Siren Song is a very good song and Maruv performed very well. The whole staging and choreography was daring and seductive, but not to much over the top.

It's very interesting to hear your honest opinions. I disagree with somethings you said and agree with some other things. I agree with you about Måns Zelmerlöw's win in 2015, but I must add that I also think it is because many people find him very attractive and charming. So the stage + charm gave him the win. And I also agree with you on Frans 2016, I hated it and didn't understand how he could get to the Eurovision final. How the hell can you like Christer Björkman? One of the worst song we sent😮

1. Deli (2008) This is amazing! I saw this performance live in front of my tv and i voted for it several times 😊. I believe it had potential to win Eurovision and i remember it was in the lead in the beginning of the voting. 2. We Could Be The Same (2010) An other amazing Turkish rock song and it should have won in my opinion. I also saw this performance live on tv and voted for this several times too. I was so amazed by the whole staging and by the armored woman with the circular saw.. sawing off her armor piece by piece. 3. Düm Tek Tek (2009) It's a great song and i think it was Türkiye's best performance both staging and choreography-wise. Another song that had potential to win Eurovision. 4. Shake It Up Şekerim (2007) It's a great song and it's very catchy. I like the mix of the ethnical Turkish music and modern pop music in this song. 5. For Real (2004) It's a very good song with an uplifting chorus. I'm really fond of the mix of ska and rock music.. ska is like a sub-genre of reggae. 6. Everyway That I Can (2003) A very good song and it's very catchy. This song was popular for a long time here in Sweden during the time. The songwriter Demir Demirkan is more known for making rock and heavy metal music. 7. Love Me Back (2012) This is good and underrated! The staging and choreography was very creative. It's a bit sad that this is Türkiye's last song in Eurovision. 8. Live It Up (2011) This is a pretty good rock song, but it isn't as memorable and impactful as the other rock songs. The staging was odd and the singer's vocals was a bit weak.. I can kind of see why it didn't qualify for the grand final. 9. Yorgunum Anla (2000) This is pretty good and slightly underrated.. it sounds very Turkish in my opinion. The performance and staging was pretty good too. 10. Leylaklar Soldu Kalbinde (2002) This song is a bit of a gulity pleasure 😊. A pretty good and catchy song. The choreography and staging could have been better.. but it seems like they had a fun time on stage 😁 Vocals are pretty good. My favorite Turkish pre-2000's era songs are 1975, 1978, 1980, 1981, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1995 and 1997. In 1979 i believe they withdrew because of pressure from several Arab countries.. Eurovision was held in Israel that year and the Arab countries threated to sever their diplomatic relationships with Türkiye completely if Türkiye competed on 1979. Their song they was supposed to compete with in 1979 is pretty decent but unfortunately i think it would have gotten a pretty poor result if it competed. I really want Türkiye to return to Eurovision some day.. i'm fond of their language and they always had very interesting songs.. they were never shy of doing their own thing.

They invaded Cyprus around that time and were not super liked by Western Europe and juries decided not to touch the poo. Thankfully Cyprus and Greece attended the 2004 contest in Istanbul, all 3 countries got in the top 10 and gave televote points to each other. Tho during the voting sequence they showed a map/outline of each country before going the spokesperson. They did not show Cyprus on the map because of... reasons.

The Code on 10??? Because you dont understand the outfit and the staging? I mean the outfit is just nemos style and fits really good with the dark background and black staging, but the outfit is not even that important anyway. But the performance is genius, oustanding, never seen before, also really risky and one of the hardest in ESC history. If the Song is your taste or not is the only thing that can put it lower, but you have to give credit for all the things that are just amazing with this entry and i didnt even mention the vocals.

I love the performance of Nemo ,thought it's quite different from the music video.Nemo actualy lost all his wardrobe for Eurovision the week prior to the constest on a train ,so all the outfits were pretty much done on a schedule 😅😅

1. Tout L'Univers (2021) It's such a spectacular entry! Gjon's vocals are out of this world and the whole staging and performance was quite simple, but very effective. This would have won in a weaker year. 2. Répondez-Moi (2020) An other amazing song! I think this would have been one of the favorites to win in 2020. It's more of a ballad than his 2021 song. 3. Cool Vibes (2005) Pretty cool having an Estonian rock band representing Switzerland and finally getting a great result after some bad years 😊. This song is awesome and i believe it was one of the first pure rock songs in Eurovision. 4. Time To Shine (2015) Very underrated and also very robbed!. It finishing on last place of the semifinal is a mystery to me. I think this is a great song and an overall solid performance by Mélanie René. 5. The Code (2024) A deserved winner of 2024, even though i wanted Croatia or France to win 😊. It's a great song and Nemo performed very well. 6. Il Pleut De L'Or (2010) A bit of a guilty pleasure of mine 😊. I think it's very underrated and very good. The overall staging and performance is good and it fits the song very well. 7. Watergun (2023) I think it's a good song and i like the lyrics. The overall performance and staging is great 😊 Remo sings very well. 8. In Love For A While (2011) I think it's a very cute and pleasant song.. can understand why it finished last.. it wasn't that strong of an entry. Anna Rossinelli has a pretty voice and i think she performed very well despite the poor result. 9. The Highest Heights (2009) It's slightly underrated and a pretty good rock song. I agree that the singer's vocals are weak and i would've ranked this entry higher if he had a better voice. The sound of this song reminds me a bit of songs similar to a rock band from my country Sweden.. the band's name is Kent. 10. Era Stupendo (2008) It's a pretty good rock song, but unfortunately just like 2009 the singer's vocals are a bit weak. I have read somewhere that apparently this song was one of the favorites to win in 2008. My favorite Swiss entries in the pre-2000's are 1971, 1981, 1982, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993 and 1997. Their entry in 1989 was sung in the Romansh language, Switzerland's least spoken official language. It's also their only entry in Romansh.
