Brothers of Grimsby is the film with Sacha Baren Cohen and it did amazing everywhere in the UK apart from Grimsby 😂majority of the people there thought they were being made fun of but from the outside looking in it seems pretty accurate to me. Definitely recommend watching it to anyone who hasn't seen it P.S Not from Grimsby but a small village about an hour away from it

About the Halo thing... the backlash would of been SO much smaller if they had done one very simple change to the show: Not John 117. Have the known main characters of the IP be guest characters that show up and leave, but have the main set of characters be unique to that show. Adds to the overall lore because you can then experiment with weird stuff WITHOUT alienating existing fans of the franchise. I mean, you can play it off as this was a galactic level conflict! That's a lot of space to cover and a lot of time, the war was 30 years long. That's more then enough time for weird shit to happen. We know what the deal is with the main cast that we all know, perfect opportunity to give the fans some new stuff based on existing content. There would still be haters. There will always be haters, people will find things to complain about. But it wouldn't of been THIS bad. Don't touch the main cast of an IP for an experiment. Have them make an apperance but as some director said YEARS ago (I think it was Niel Blomkamp) who was in some talks about a Halo movie, "The Master Chief would be the single most known supporting side character." Because that would be the only way to write him without messing with established expectations and lore.
