we aren't a serious club and yes we have regressed. players & manger still lack the mental fortitude to see it out after 3 years of challenging... bench is still a joke after spending 800M. big change needs to happen asap
I share your concerns that we aren't serious enough. But I also don't think we have not done enough in the market. 800 million in 5 years is about 200 million less than we needed. I feel like we are 1 elite midfielder and 2 elite forwards from being able to compete on all important fronts. I feel like we could do one or the other but not both, and we still need to pray.
ââ@@deecunningham9719yeah our attack today was so bad not surprising though. need at least 2 competent forwards this jan window and hope for the best but doubt they'll sign anyone EDIT: creativity is lacking as well that's also another area that needs addressing. ode won't be able to do it on his own and hes having quiet games recently
Arsenal fans closed a gap once and they think they can do it againâĶ even though one season they had a 8 point lead and dropped it with 1 injuryâĶ but they forget that part donât they
why was the chelsea fan interrupting the arsenal fan about how our fanbase works? naming 5 youtubers and claiming it's the majority of fans. sulz point was that the board has been very moderate in their approach thinking they have more time to achieve trophies, and they are/were probably wrong. edu wanted to get promoted at arsenal and he was passed over and that's why he left for his professional opportunity. the issue with our club is that many fans don't pay attention to the details. the issue is that they don't finish the business. they leave us short every time. it's not about the amount it's about how it's spent.
Mo asks the threshold for arsenal fans to be arteta out. He has improved the team every season he's been in charge, bar, MAYBE, this year which is still TBD. If we aren't improved this year, then that's one year out of five, which has a lot of negative context to the team. So you give another year to see if he builds on the previous, if not he's hit his ceiling and it's time to move on. What's more rational than that?
Another context that I can provide for the contrary is that Arsenal since Arteta's first season hasn't reached another cup final. And even with this "bigger fish to fry" mentality they still haven't won any trophies in the last 5 years. Arteta has already done 60% of Wenger's longest trophy drought and he doesn't have the pedigree that Wenger had to keep the job for this long without a trophy.
Just watching the Arsenal game, and they're crap. Ipswich got beat 4 0 last week, and Arsenal are scared to play them. Newcastle will pump them in the cup
@HighburyUltra please do. You're nothing to worry about. Struggling against Ipswich at home, and you're meant to be challenging for a title ðĪĢðĪĢðĪĢðĪĢ Last year, it was "we can't win till Pep leaves." What the excuse this year?
